The term 'earth' refers to dharmata. That which is done with hands clasped together means that samsara and nirvana have become inseparable. 'Bhagavan' refers to the very wisdom of the non-duality of the lord. 'Petitioning' means that by the very absence of mental activity, he is urged to act for the benefit of beings. Repetition is not unrelated. The tantra of means is also explained by this very thing. 'Means' means that the co-emergent cause of the continuum of causes, which has become the cause of near attainment, exists. Or, all three continuums should be included in what is said by this very explanation. The nature and distinctions of cause and effect will be explained immediately thereafter. If Vajradhara himself, is he to become something from among what is to be generated, what is to be transformed, and what is to be attained? If it is said that he is to be generated, then he will become one with impermanence. It is also said, "Monks, whatever is of the nature of arising is all of the nature of ceasing." Therefore, he will again become a cyclic existence being, and will not become omniscient by being the same, because it is possible that one who knows one state by reversing place and time does not know other places and times. Therefore, it will follow that there is no difference between those who are liberated and those who are not liberated. The side of what is to be transformed is no different from the side of what is to be generated, because some think that transforming one state and entering another state, like gold and other ornaments, is the expression of transformation. But this is not possible for Buddhists who speak of momentary destruction, because even for things that are very similar, their respective momentary destructions are of a nature that does not follow. Therefore, there are many faults in attainment itself, because the co-emergent and near-attainment of the fruit of attainment are not needed. What is called attainment is the attainment of what has not been attained. This is only reasonable for different entities, because meeting and separation are absolutely different in nature. In that case, it would become 'endowed with Buddhahood' but not 'Buddha,' just like...

It is like having gaps. If it is not different, then it is attainment, not what is to be attained. Whatever is not different from something, it becomes its own nature, just like the heat of fire. Therefore, simply without practicing the path, all sentient beings will become Buddhas, and whatever is the nature of something, there is no need to strive to practice the method of manifesting it. If the nature has already changed, but because of the darkness of unreal discriminations from beginningless time in the mundane, it will become like being different from the nature with brightness. If it is said that the brightness of the sky and so on is also obscured by clouds and so on, that is not right, because in either case, because of the Dharma nature abiding in oneness, what is to be obscured and what can obscure are not reasonable. There is no such thing as what is to be obscured and what can obscure in the light and hardness that exist in jewels. Those contradictions are only suitable for cases where Dharma and Dharmas are different. Anything that is called "obscured," if it is not the definite nature of Buddhahood, then anything that is not definite for something, then it will not completely abandon its own function, even if it is not determined to be burning, it will not become unable to burn. Like the jewels on the bodies of infants and so on, which do not determine their function, mantras and medicines also perform their functions. Furthermore, if discriminations obscure the vision of true meaning, even if it becomes the way of obscuring darkness, how can Buddhahood be obscured? Because Buddhahood is the incomparable light.

If you say it is impossible, then all those are meaningless, because the meaning of what is said is not the object of conceptualization. As it is said in the Ornament of the Sutras: The basis and the uncertain, the non-pervasive, the conventional and the protective, are considered conceptualization based on children. Therefore, that is not its object. Thus it is said. In the glorious Heruka Abhisambodhi it is said: All the common tantras, cannot be destroyed by reasoning, but can only be grasped by faith, not by eyes and hands. Thus it is said. In the Uttaratantra of the Great Vehicle it is also said: For the ultimate truth of the self-born, only faith can enter here, the eyeless cannot see, the orb of the blazing sun. Thus it is said. Saraha's feet also said: It is not the realm of wisdom, it is not the realm of speech, the words of reality taught by the guru are deep and far-reaching, that gradually gives rise to white qualities such as compassion, and bestows the fruit itself in the heart of the faithful. Thus it is said. In this way, if you say that entering the Vedas and so on is also not contradictory, that is not right, because that is also not in accordance with the transcendental measure. Here that is impossible, because the experience of the oral instructions that come from the lineage of the guru has been understood, how can it be compared? Faith is also here, possessing, possessing qualities, possessing power, with the trustworthiness of the measure, arising in the form of faith, joy and desire, not like other foolish people who are far from reason.
