That blood is called that. Sandalwood is Vairochana. Red is Ratnasambhava. Vajra water is Akshobhya. Those become the five amritas. It is related to this. All siddhis, that is, worldly and transcendental siddhis. The way to accomplish those is to rely on the amritas, so that obstacles are pacified and accomplishments are quickly realized. Thumb and ring finger, this is easy to understand. Tasting like a peaceful drink, peace is the moon, that is, bodhicitta. The drink is drinking oneself, and that is also giving, that is, enjoying in the lotus position, which arises from the effort of entering into equanimity. As it is said in the Secret Treasury: The yogi should contemplate himself in the center of bhaga Where there is a vein dripping amrita, one should observe the central position of the body. Or if one cannot be reckless, with a special mudra of action, making one's own consort as one's own deity, the semen produced from effort, by drinking and infusing, will not be devoured by demons, and one will become a Buddha. Thus it is said. These and so on are easy to understand. In all actions, etc., this shows the asceticism of approaching and practicing various actions, all actions being fierce and peaceful actions. The method is the method of practice, that is, manifest purification. How is it? Non-discrimination, etc., for all actions, approaching and practicing with a non-discriminating mind, this is the asceticism shown from the perspective of the mind. Again, in all actions, etc., this is from the perspective of speech. Without doubt, etc., this is shown from the perspective of the body. Hair, etc., the collection of hair is hair, etc., etc. includes illusion, etc. Following the real thing, the sound of following is similar, for example, saying following Devadatta, this refers to similarity, for those things that are similar to this, that is what they are called. For example, just like eyes damaged by cataracts, even if there is nothing, they see a collection of hair streaks in the sky, etc., the mind disturbed by the habit of clinging, regards things as objects.

Appearance. This is the so-called meaning. If, like hair-moon etc., it does not exist in itself, therefore it cannot function, just as the objects also appear, but if it does not exist in itself, then how does it function? It is not like that, for example, in a dream, when a man and a woman engage in sexual intercourse, although there is no union of the two, there is still the act of ejaculation when awake. Similarly, due to the agitation of habits, even if it does not exist, there is no contradiction in functioning. Therefore, since it is harmed by the reason that contradicts one and many, it cannot be said to be ultimately existent merely by this. Therefore, the Mind-Only practitioner, agitated by habits, appears as things themselves, but there is no external object here. As the teacher Vasubandhu said: "These are only consciousness, because they appear as things but do not exist. For example, people with cataracts see non-existent things such as hair-moon." Moreover, the Blessed One also said: "O sons of the Victorious Ones, these three realms are only mind." Mind and consciousness are synonymous. As it is said: "Mind, intellect, consciousness, and discrimination are synonymous." If form etc. do not exist, why did the Blessed One declare it in the sutras? Although they do not exist in the ultimate sense, it should be understood that they are declared in order to tame sentient beings. As it is said: "For sentient beings tamed by form etc., it is declared according to their intention, just like emanated beings." Although this is the case, let us make a slight analysis here: If objects such as form etc. are not produced from consciousness, but exist as real entities, then as the Vaisheshikas hypothesize, either as a single gross thing with the nature of parts, or it becomes many tiny things. Since these are contradictory, it is impossible to have a third case other than these. Among them, a single thing with parts is not an object, because it has not been seen to grasp a thing with parts without relying on the parts. For example, all things such as pots and woolen cloth have bellies and necks, etc., as well as raw materials and woolen threads, etc.

Why? Because apart from things with parts such as bottles and cloths, there is no experience at any time. Many atoms are also not objects of perception, because if they become objects of perception, the atoms do not touch each other, but are held together only by the power of proximity, as admitted by the Vaibhashikas, or, those that touch each other and exist become objects of perception. Contact and non-contact are contradictory, and a third situation is impossible. Moreover, those with minute parts are also not objects of perception, because those who see on this shore do not grasp them. Those on the other shore themselves admit this, as they say, the collection of five consciousnesses is aimed at accumulation. Those that are gathered together are also not objects of perception, because they are not real substances. Why is that? Because atoms have not been established as real substances. If atoms were established as real substances, then those that are individually different or gathered together could become objects of perception, but if they are not established, then how can that analysis proceed? As it is said: It is not an object of perception even if it is one, nor is it many atoms, nor are those gathered together, because atoms cannot be established. How can it not be established? If the gathering of atoms is a state of mutual contact and combination, then the atom located in the center is combined by the atoms located in the six directions. Is it combined from different directions? Or is it combined from one direction? If it is combined from different directions, then at that time the difference of the combiner of the atom located in the center
