is evident. That is to say, the five objects such as eyes and forms, and the five senses, are said to be aggregates of minute particles. If they do not exist, then these are also not possible. For example, depending on the eyes and forms, eye consciousness arises, and so on, depending on this, and the five realms of consciousness, if they do not exist, what would they take as their object to arise? If the five realms of consciousness do not exist, then the mind consciousness, which is manifested by the immediately preceding condition, is also unreasonable. If these six aggregates are not established, then the mind that immediately precedes these consciousnesses cannot be established either. For it is said in the scriptures: "Whatever consciousness is immediately preceded by the six, that is the mind." Thus, if the nature of mind is not established, then feelings and other mental factors are also without nature, because they are of the same entity and the same happiness as the mind, and depend on the mind. Thus, if form, mind, and mental factors are not established, then non-associated formations are also without nature, because they are the stages of these. Non-cognitive form is also clearly without nature because it depends on the four great elements. Similarly, substances with parts, such as two atoms, and qualities such as color and sound, and actions such as lifting and gathering, and other-imputed objects such as universals and particulars, are clearly without nature. Because they are directly or indirectly produced by it, and are directly or indirectly related through dependence and close dependence, and so on. As it is said: "Its nature is made by it, its qualities are its essence, its universals and particulars, these are connected with it." Therefore, other-imputed space, time, direction, and mind, etc., are also contradictory to one and many. Being related to pots and other things with different directions, those natures that are related to one, if they are also related to others, then just as it is the only nature, others will not be different from it either. However, direction
