A Commentary on the Great King of Tantras, Glorious Vajra Dakini, by Bhava Bhadra. A Commentary on the Great King of Tantras, Glorious Vajra Dakini. Bhava Bhadra. A Commentary on the First Chapter. ༄༅། ། In Indian language: Śrī Vajra Ḍākinī nāma mahā tantra rāja sya vibṛtti. In Tibetan: A Commentary on the Great King of Tantras, Glorious Vajra Dakini. Homage to the Bhagavan, Great Compassionate Avalokiteśvara! Like the moon rising from the sky, dispelling ignorance with its light, dripping the nectar of accomplishment, I bow to the body of Vajra Dakini. From the nature of gold and jewels, accomplished like the king of mountains, Sumeru, all that arises from the limbs of this tantra, is the essence, the only body. The great meanings of this tantra, with clear wisdom, satisfying like lightning, moving the tongue, revealing in an instant. Whatever the guru has taught, I, here, as remembered in my mind, will speak to clarify. The great meanings hidden in the tantra, obtained from the oral instructions, without omission, I cannot write it all. However, I will write a little. Here, those who speculate before seeing what is to be said, etc., will not be applicable anywhere. Those contents, if not expressed in words first, will not appear. Those who seek the fruit, in the methods of practice, the fruit that the practitioner himself desires, and the methods that are in accordance with it, should be practiced. Otherwise, if those are not the fruits that one desires, and cannot be practiced, such as those who desire to go to heaven relying on the white goat horn to practice, this is not the method desired by the compassionate Buddha. Even if the sacrifice of killing a white goat can attain heaven, it is not the fruit desired by the compassionate one, etc. For those differences in what is to be said, etc., if not expressed in words, it will not be applicable, therefore, by speaking of the perfect place, etc., to speak of what is to be said, etc.

In order to show the difference, starting from "Secret Supreme" to the words between "United with all beings, the supreme bliss of Vajra Dakini," it was first summarized by Vajravarahi. That is to say, the Bhagavan alone, like a dancer, speaks and summarizes in order to subdue sentient beings. The so-called "retinue" is the mandala, the "main deity" is the mandala itself, and the nature to be expressed, such as accomplishment and practice methods. In this way, although the Bhagavan resides in the identity of the speaker, etc., in order for beginners to enter, he manifests himself as the image of the Bhagavan Mother and proclaims "The Joy of Secret Supreme," etc. Abiding in the joy of secret supreme, the words spoken by the Bhagavan are connected with the following text. The meaning of expression mentioned earlier, etc., is that the Bhagavan himself proclaimed the context of the words, while the Bhagavan Mother Vajravarahi abandoned her own creation, meaning that the tantra was summarized after hearing it from the Bhagavan. The sound of "secret" refers to the Dharmadhatu that pervades everything, and all Tathagatas are born from it, so secret is the place of birth of Dharma. Abiding there refers to abiding on the pavilion on the top of Mount Sumeru. What kind of secret is it? It is the "supreme speech," because it is the realm of supreme wisdom. The so-called "joy" is the realm of generating supreme bliss. The so-called "nature of everything" is because it becomes the nature of all Tathagatas, and the nature of everything is secret. Or, because it is the nature of mirror-like wisdom, etc., it is the nature of everything. Or, the sound of "everything" refers to Vajradhara, and what its nature is called, those show the perfection of the place. "Always abiding" shows the difference of the perfect teacher. From beginningless time, with various natures, he has never left anywhere. That is, he is always present in the form of Dharmakaya, etc.
