Because there is no (teacher) to instruct, it is the sole practice of yogis and is very difficult to obtain. It is said that it is not the practice of ordinary people. Therefore, to benefit all beings, it is said, "For the sake of benefiting all beings." It is for the benefit of worldly people. The so-called "determination of breath" is a request to explain the moments and other times determined by yogis with numbers. Among "without disease" and so on, "free from wind" is the characteristic of being without disease. "The element is equally abiding," in which "element" refers to the faculties. The faculties are not afflicted by disease, nor tormented by fatigue and so on, this is equality. Among "eating moderately" and so on, "moderately" is suitable. Avoid food that is too full, too hungry, too bland, too greasy, too light, too heavy, so that the breath flows smoothly, the excrement is oily and not putrid, and eat comfortably. "Acting according to the Dharma" is to avoid excessive fatigue and violence, and to abide by this. For ordinary people, one should observe their eyelids. Six blinks are a moment, called "instant." It means that the eyes of ordinary people are neither fast nor slow, and open and close six times at a normal speed, which is called an instant. The so-called "in the order of time" refers to the calculation from blinking and so on, all the way to a short while. The so-called "multiply by thirty" is to multiply a short while by thirty. The so-called "called heavy letter time" refers to the difference in time, which is called the name of heavy letter time, that is, saying one heavy letter time. The so-called "life" refers to the difference in time, which is called life and life. The so-called "that is" refers to the time of life. The so-called "multiply by thirteen" is to multiply by thirty. The so-called "multiply by two again" refers to the time of life, that is, thirty multiplied by two, which is multiplied by sixty. The rest is easy to understand. The so-called "that is eight" refers to eight hours. The so-called "that is four"

The earth is in four periods. Thus, having explained the daytime periods, in order to show the nighttime, the nighttime is also explained in the same way. It is said that, when is it? When the day and night times are equal, that is, the Viśu time. Now, in order to show the increase and decrease of day and night, it is said starting from Makara, etc. From the end of the small winter month to the beginning of the small summer month, during these six months, the hours of the day should be increased by three breaths (Tibetan: སྲོག་གསུམ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: त्रुटि, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: truṭi, literal meaning: three moments) each day, and similarly, the night should be decreased. After passing from Makara, it means after those six months from Makara to Frog have passed, during the remaining six months, the night should also be increased by three breaths in the same way. In some texts, it says that the night decreases by three breaths. At that time, passing from Makara means after the month of the small winter month has passed. In order to show those measures, it is to show the measure of time to ordinary people. It is connected with hammering, from what to hammer what? From copper. Twelve ounces of copper, that is, the commonly said twelve ounces of copper, from which a water vessel is hammered out. How to hammer? The height is eight fingers, the width is twelve fingers, the depth is eight fingers, and the mouth width is twelve fingers, all hammered out. Good means that the height, thickness, etc. are even. Then what to do? From thirty ounces of gold, etc., it is said that a probe should be made from the commonly said three parts of gold. What kind? It is said to be about six fingers in size, and the length should be made to six fingers in size. Doing well means without thickness. These are to determine the substance
