Recite seven times seven and burn. For those who oppose the Three Jewels, break vows, and harbor hatred, the mantra practitioner, adorned in black and with iron ornaments, should gaze at Yama. I, in the lotus position, firmly seated on a wooden throne, should contemplate the object to be subdued at midnight or noon. The edge of the fire mandala makes the sound of Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ) and Phaṭ (Tibetan: ཕཊ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Chinese literal meaning: Phaṭ), like thunder. The fire used for the ritual at the beginning, middle, and end should be taken from a cemetery fire, a hand-obtained fire, a stone-struck fire, or a fire from the house of an outcaste, which is auspicious for achieving the goal. First, place the firewood as mentioned earlier into the hearth and ignite it, fanning with bellows to ignite a blazing flame. The mantra is "Hūṃ Jvala Hūṃ," and it should be known that this is igniting the fire. Then, hold kusha grass in the right hand, placing the thumb at the base of the index finger, and draw the fire. The mantra is "Om Eheyehi Mahābhūta Deva Ṛṣi Tvi Jvala Sva Mi Grihītvā Ahūtiṃ Ahāraṃ Asmin Sannihito Bhava," and with this, contemplate the fire coming from the direction of the hearth. Here, in the center of the blazing fire, invite and dwell the wrathful and terrifying deity, who is as dazzling as lightning, has golden-yellow hair, a complexion like smoke, eyes that dart about, ears that listen upwards, emits a great sound, has four fangs, is powerful, and rides on a wheel of wind. He is extremely terrifying, makes the sound of Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ), so the sound of Hūṃ is deafening. He has three eyes, four arms, emits a great sound, is adorned with vajra light, dwells on a seat of wisdom, has seven faces, is able to completely avert, and rides on a buffalo. He presents a sorrowful demeanor, is surrounded by smoke, flames burn fiercely, wears iron ornaments, has a handsome face covered with iron, is adorned with burning flames, has large, blood-red eyes, is unwavering in posture, wears blue garments, burns together like a time of terror, and is fierce as if about to devour the three realms. In his hands, he holds a wooden club and a vajra, raised high, and in the other two hands, he holds a sword and a curved knife. To his right is the deity named Soso, with two arms, holding a vajra and a curved knife in his hands, with limbs as black as night.
