And fear of death, fear of thieves, fear of the king's punishment, and so on, are the eight fears. Complete pacification means being separated from those sufferings and attaining happiness. Eliminating all bad dreams means that bad dreams are caused by imbalances in bodily fluids, habits, spirits, and so on, which alter appearances. All that is taken as inauspicious signs is included. It is eliminated by rendering it powerless through some force. Eliminating all inauspicious omens means that whatever is regarded as a sign is called an "omen." For example, when associating with swords, mirrors, and young people, all the inauspicious omens that arise are all inauspicious omens. Through their power, they disappear and do not become threatening, thus they are able to eliminate them. Eliminating all evil forces of demons and obstacles means that obstacles are evil guidance, whatever obstructs accomplishment

Improper attention is the opposite of settling the mind in equanimity, with ignorance as its precursor. "All" refers to desire, attention, and so on. How can it be prevented from arising? By examining with the guru's instructions, turning away from clinging to characteristics, and knowing that both internal and external phenomena are without self, thereby preventing improper attention. What is ignorance itself? Through the power of impropriety, it destroys all arrogance, pride, conceit, and self-grasping. Among these, arrogance is attachment to one's own perfections and attachment to the joy of the mind, leading to acting without restraint. Pride is thinking excessively about oneself. Conceit is pride in one's heart. Self-grasping is clinging to what is mine. What does it rely on? It relies on the five aggregates of appropriation, clinging to consciousness as self and clinging to the rest as what is mine. Therefore, clinging to the aggregation of the six elements as a whole is called ignorance. Now, appearance arises from realizing selflessness. Because there are no holes or gaps, it is like an eggshell. What can split it open? The expedient vehicle, as hard as a diamond. That is, at the time of the wisdom empowerment, recognizing the immovable aggregate that grasps at self as the Tathagata, recognizing the four aggregates that grasp at what is mine as the four Tathagatas, recognizing the earth and so on as the four mothers, and recognizing the sense bases such as the eye as the Bodhisattvas. At the time of the secret empowerment, also knowing that the mandalas of the deities are empty of grasping and being grasped, without self, and at the time of prajna-jnana, completely destroying without remainder through the coemergent wisdom, the unity of appearance and emptiness. Therefore, by destroying ignorance, all the faults of existence, suffering, and unpleasantness are prevented from arising. It is said that at the time of the third empowerment, the suffering of separation from joy, and the suffering and unpleasantness of subtle unpleasantness where bliss has not reached its peak. The cause of that agent is perverse thinking due to inferior wisdom. The reason for not arising is that by experiencing the coemergent wisdom of ultimate bliss, therefore suffering and unpleasantness.

has become obscured. What is it like? It is said to be "the essence of all Tathagatas." Tathagata refers to Vairochana and others during the time of the previous power of knowledge. Since it is both Tathagata and all, it is "all Tathagatas." Essence refers to the essence that makes them become one taste, meaning that all dharmas are free from the defilements that obscure reality and abide in the equality of the three times, like space. It is called "the secret of all Bodhisattvas." Bodhisattva refers to Ksitigarbha and all others. Secret refers to becoming one taste. It is called "the great secret of all Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas." Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas refer to those who are free from desire. What transforms from that is taking birth in the state of detachment. Great secret refers to the dharma that remains only like a mustard seed after the appearance of perfect enjoyment has subsided. This is to be understood through the kindness of the wisdom guru of joy and detachment. It is called "all mudras and mantras." Mudra refers to that which symbolizes this, so it is mudra, such as karma mudra and so on. Mantra refers to the wisdom that does not make the mind weary. All refers to all that have such characteristics. Regarding "correctly generating the mindfulness and awareness of all those who speak of all dharmas as inexpressible," dharma refers to the skandhas, dhatus, and ayatanas. Inexpressible refers to the great bindu, without letters. Speaker refers to one who merely speaks in names to others in order to understand its meaning. "Etc." refers to all that is apprehended and apprehended. Mindfulness refers to what one has previously experienced oneself. Awareness refers to believing in the signs of the instructions, and thereby freely engaging in all things. Correctly generating refers to those that are not inverted, that is, accomplishing such. That is to be understood as the instructions of the fourth empowerment that arise incidentally. Now, in order to show the cause of common accomplishments, it is said, "generating unsurpassed wisdom, subduing the mind." Unsurpassed refers to that which is above it. Wisdom refers to the distinction of knowledge, that is, the meaning of being called excellent wisdom. By what is it generated?
