Generating the mind to attain (enlightenment), and causing all beings to abide in that state, is a Bodhisattva and a Mahasattva. Lineage means ancestry. 'And' is a summary of categories. Lineage refers to holding the cause of its own nature, which arises from the previously indicated seed. Increase means becoming many. So, what does it do? It is said that it cuts off all refutations from others. Among them, the 'other' refers to something different from one's own view. The 'refuter' refers to a Bodhisattva who recognizes faults and intends to refute. 'Cutting off' means making them powerless. That is also because one's own ancestors did not gather the Vajra essence. So, who is the refuter? It is said that it completely destroys all non-Buddhists. Because of inverted wisdom, clinging to the extremes of permanence and annihilation, they are non-Buddhists. The sound of 'all' refers to grasping those ignorant ones who abide in evil views. 'Destroying' refers to a fierce sound, like killing an elephant and wearing its skin, that is called destroying. The side of cutting off. Furthermore, it is said that it defeats the armies and all the forces of the four Maras. The four Maras are easy to understand. 'Army' refers to a collection of troops. 'Forces' refers to all the black roots. All of these, like the fierce body that is like a reflection in a mirror, and all the activities of the Tathagatas, are not tainted by faults when taming beings who should be tamed fiercely, just like a reflection. By the fierce sound of speech, the emanation is made to disappear, so it is defeated. After cutting off like that, what benefit should be bestowed? It is said that it is to truly gather all beings, both beings and all, so all beings arise from that, each by their own power, in their respective places of going, their respective places of birth, like hair growing from the head. Truly gathering refers to gathering without inversion, gathering that realization into the mind, and gathering actions with the four objects of gathering, that is truly gathering. That is like braiding hair into one strand. Therefore, although things appear in various ways, the mind does not waver, and the actions of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are different.

Now, it still means not wavering for the benefit of sentient beings. Furthermore, what does it do? It is said, "The noble path of all paths of definite emergence is fully matured," where definite emergence is the fruit, the path refers to the path of practice, all refers to the Shravakas and so on, the noble path refers to the path of definite emergence from the three realms, namely the path of accumulation and so on, fully refers to supreme, and maturation refers to attaining the ultimate fruit. It is said, "The samadhi of those who abide in the four abodes of Brahma," where Brahma itself is the perfectly complete Buddha. As it is said, "Brahma Nirvana Buddha." The four abodes are loving-kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity. It is said, "Equanimity and four." "La" is a respectful term. "Those who abide" refers to the Mahayana practitioners, because others such as Shravakas do not have such abodes. Samadhi refers to the mind being equally placed on all dharmas. In reality, it refers to mirror-like wisdom. It is said, "The meditation of those who are one-pointed in mind," which refers to those who are one-pointed in mind, meaning that those whose mental appearances follow the objects of consciousness and are distracted, thinking that the mind cannot be equally placed, then focus the mind inwardly, with the wisdom of investigation and analysis, the objects arising from the joy and bliss free from desire. Meditation also refers to this. So, is it just focusing on the mind? Is it not something else? Therefore, it is said, "The yoga of those who strive to tame body, speech, and mind," where body refers to abandoning the evil deeds and places of the body, speech refers to abandoning the faults of speech and the evil deeds of speech, and mind refers to abandoning the evil deeds of the mind with afflictions. That is, conduct sustained by mindfulness and awareness, abandoning fruitless actions, and constantly abiding in vigilance is called taming. Diligence refers to constantly rejoicing in that meaning. Yoga refers to the yoga of body, speech, and mind of shamatha and vipassana.
