That which is remembered. Oṃ āḥ auṃ is samādhi. The result arising from that is, having firmly placed the mind vajra in the source of space dharma, through practice, meditating on individually gathering at the beginning of time, etc., as it is said. Therefore, to symbolize the gradual progression through the twelve bhūmis, the twelve vowels have been previously explained. Regarding this, there are also three types of signs: the initial sign, the intermediate sign, and the final sign. The initial sign is the sign of smoke, etc., which is the moment when the complete form does not fully transform from the union of the six limbs. The intermediate sign is that, arising from the system, at the moment when it does not become supreme, one hundred and eighty thousand winds cease, thereby attaining the first bhūmi. Seeing the meaning that was not seen by the five abhijñās as it truly is, is called attaining worldly accomplishment. The final sign is that, on each wheel, two bhūmis are gradually attained, and after three hundred and sixty thousand winds cease, at the moment when the Buddha Vajradhara himself does not become supreme, attaining the twelve bhūmis is called the accomplishment of Mahāmudrā. Thus, the explanation of the fourth chapter is complete. Chapter Five: Explaining the Great Maṇḍala of the Vajradhātu. Now, the great maṇḍala of the Vajradhātu will be explained. Thus, the Buddha, the Bhagavan, the complete and perfect Buddha, arises from A. A is the most supreme of all letters, it is a sacred letter of great meaning. In that, for the vowels, there is a brief indication of the yoga of form, the yoga of mantra, the yoga of dharma, and the yoga of suchness. To the retinue who have the thought of how this arises here, it is said thus. Buddha means having both abandonment and attainment. Then, why is the Bhagavan the most supreme of Buddhas? Because the Buddha also exists in Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas, the Bhagavan is distinct from them in that he is omniscient. Furthermore, if the Bhagavan is omniscient, then the term "complete and perfect Buddha" is redundant, which is a mistaken thought, because this is distinct from the five Tathāgatas, only the glorious Vajrasattva Vajradhara. What is that? Arising from A, therefore the form of A is dharma-arising.
