Etc., it is said, in order to produce the fruits of the Hearers, namely the Stream-enterer, the Once-returner, the Non-returner, and the Arhat. Is that all? The guide is the Solitary Realizer, because the twelve links of dependent origination are taught below, its fruit is like a rhinoceros horn, and the gathering is the arising of conduct. Not only that, but it is said, "Arising from various renunciations." In short, it is the various renunciations encompassed by the Three Vehicles. "Arising from" means that it arises from this completely pure state. "The great elements, the single cause," means that it is both "element" and "great," so it is called "great element," namely earth, water, fire, and wind. "The single cause" means the completely pure mind of enlightenment. "Bhikkhu, Arhat, exhaustion of outflows," among which "Bhikkhu" refers to the nominally established Bhikkhu, the vowed Bhikkhu, the begging Bhikkhu, and the truly real Bhikkhu, and this refers to the truly real Bhikkhu, because it is completely pure. The Arhat himself is the enemy of the afflictions, because he steals the seven riches of the noble ones. "Outflows" refers to the conceptualizations that rely on objects and faculties. "Exhaustion" refers to meditating on objects and faculties as being inseparable from gods and goddesses. Alternatively, the outflow of desire refers to conceptualizing objects and subjects, the outflow of existence refers to birth, aging, sickness, and death, and the outflow of ignorance refers to revolving in samsara. The outflow of views refers to grasping at self and what belongs to self, and these are exhausted by that Bhikkhu. What is exhausted? "By detachment from desire, the senses are tamed," it is said, desire refers to craving and attachment to objects, and it is separated from these. "Taming the senses" refers to meditating on the body as the mandala of deities. Alternatively, it is the taming of the conduct of the senses. Is it just taming? On top of that, it is said, "Happiness is found," which is found by relying on the five qualities of desire. "Fearless" means that no matter where one goes, there is no fear or dread. Alternatively, no matter where one goes, one is free from the fear of samsara. "Obtaining" means that through it, one attains suchness. Nirvana also has no suffering of desire, so it becomes cool. Turbidity refers to the absence of waves of conceptualization.

Ground! How can one obtain something like that? "Having wisdom and feet." It is said, and so on. The guru's instruction is wisdom, like the eyes, it should be understood, and like the feet, it should be walked through experience. Or wisdom is view, like the eyes. By respecting the guru's feet, one should obtain it, and one's conduct should also be practiced like feet. To that, "The Sugata is the supreme of worldly wisdom." It is said that even if one abides in the world, one should know that one has gone to bliss. Or the world is form and so on, and knowing those to be completely pure and non-dual is the supreme of the Sugata. If you want to know what that wisdom is like, "Not grasping as self, not grasping as mine." It is said that it is not grasping at self and what belongs to self, or I and mine. However, "Abiding in the manner of the two truths." This is abiding in the manner of the two truths, the ultimate truth and the conventional truth, meaning that there is no direct realization. That is the other shore of samsara, reaching the end. "Because the work has been done, it abides on dry land." This refers to the non-learner. However, for the first practitioner, one should enter the ten perfections as shown above. Therefore, it has the characteristics of having done what needs to be done, having done what can be done, having unloaded the burden, and so on. Like that, it is the only definite selection of wisdom, for example, if one goes to the Isle of Jewels, one will not hear the names of earth and stones, etc., just as here, no other opportunity is opened up. Therefore, it causes the head of affliction to fall, so it is said, "Completely destroy with the sword of wisdom." Now, in order to explain the Dharma of the three, cause, path, and result, it is said, "Excellent Dharma, Dharma King, endowed with clarity." and so on. Excellent is the omniscient Buddha, Dharma is the twelve divisions of scripture. The Dharma King is distinguished from that, it is the supreme secret. Clarity means luminosity, and because it shows luminosity, it is endowed. "The supreme of making the world appear luminous." The world refers to the desire realm, the form realm, and the formless realm, and abiding in those is like darkness, that is its meaning. Luminosity is luminosity, and making it appear luminous is the wheel of the luminous Dharma.
