The mandala is the nature of the support. The wheel is the nature of the assembly of deities that are supported. The word "etc." refers to mantras, mudras, cushions, and so on. Their steps are to turn towards manifestation. Meditating on them is to repeatedly cling to manifestation, and it is through them. If now, by this path alone, all siddhis will be accomplished, then is there no need for the essential instructions of the path of smoke and so on? The answer is: How could that be? "The great one is also this, and the siddhi is also this" means the great siddhi, that is, the siddhi of the great mudra. Desire is that which transcends the world. On what is it accomplished? How is it accomplished on the essential instructions of smoke and so on? It means that it is not so. Then, does this proximate instruction of the path transform from everything for all intelligent beings who strive to attain perfect and complete enlightenment? Or, for some of those who are skilled in acting and who have interest, is it only from some? The answer is: The path, and so on. The excellent guru is the glorious guru. His characteristic is the detailed explanation of the ultimate meaning, as it is said: "The mindful one clings to the decay of the meditation of existence, the desirous one is busy in his heart with great desire, the one with great vows, in the union of the two faculties, does not lose desire even when extremely intimate with the mudra, the path of the nature of the moon is the yogi who is extremely decayed, the fire of wisdom enters extremely from the power of yoga, by the very nature of infinite bliss, one will obtain amrita, the glorious guru, the vajra holder, the destroyer of sins," and so on in detail. His kindness is to take hold with the essential instructions of suchness. From that, it arises, that is, it is born. Who are they? The pure disciples, that is, those who have washed away the stain of ordinary pride through empowerment and so on. These disciples should also be taught through benefiting others and so on. It is said in the Bindu of the Great Seal: "Just as poison is purified by mantras and so on, and having been purified, it becomes essence, so too, through empowerment and so on, an impure disciple becomes possessed of purity." And so on. Which are the other

To strive for virtue is to rejoice in virtuous deeds. Now, the reasons why those who have attained the path lose it due to negligence are explained, starting with "others" and so on. How does the Buddha himself seek happiness and strive for it? Immediately after saying that, this increases joy, therefore it is precious, like a wish-fulfilling jewel. Because it is difficult to obtain and because it bestows the fruits of what is thought, the good path is precious. This is a special summary from the end. Negligence means having negligent conduct, without regard for benefit and happiness. Sentient beings are those who fall into the six realms. Others are those who lack qualities such as compassion, and do not strive to bring benefit and happiness to others. One's own home refers to one's wife. That itself is a solitary place, a dwelling place for malicious beings, that is, the place one enters. In these places, the senses are bound, that is, the objects, which are external enjoyments such as forms. Those are also bad, because the taste is small, and the ripening is rough, because they are relied upon by a mind that is faint. Those are the thieves who steal the precious jewel of the good path that has been given. That is the meaning of stealing. Not only do these alone steal the wealth-house of the precious good path that has been entered into solitude, but also thieves such as doubt who enter into the dense forest of relatives and friends. Relatives and friends are known as wife, son, grandson, and so on. Dense means forest. For those who believe, there are three things that devour the precious jewel of the certain good path, just as Rahu devours the sun, that is, doubt, which is, "Is this really the good path? Or is it not?" Regret is, "I have done evil deeds, therefore I will not realize the path," which is in this form. Sleep is the second, which makes the body and mind unusable, up to drowsiness. Laziness is a lack of interest. Agitation is the mind being distracted, up to wandering in cities and so on.
