Like this, that which is fully comprehended is dhyana (meditation). It also becomes five kinds due to the differences of comprehension, etc. The distinctions are explained by comprehension, etc.: The so-called three secrets, etc., the faculties, objects, and consciousnesses are the three secrets. The five faculties and the consciousnesses of the faculties, and their objects, are also the nature of the five Tathagatas. To fully understand these is comprehension. For it, to discriminate, to enter into Suchness, to appear to be inclined, having the nature of mental ease, is similar to joy. To enter into Suchness, to obtain the bliss of having the characteristics of extreme pliancy of the body, etc., is to gather bliss. Like this, from habituation, one goes to the ultimate extreme, therefore, knowledge, that is, the knowable of the six consciousnesses of the senses such as the eye, etc., that is, the ultimate extreme of the dharmadhatu such as form, etc., arises, knowledge arises from the knowable, its cessation is the grasped and the grasper of the mind, that is, the nature of fully understanding emptiness, the mind focused on one point is called one's own mind. Such a mind is the peaceful nature of all Buddhas, all appearances are merely emptiness, reaching the ultimate of unity arises, this is the fivefold distinction of the second branch. To perform the yoga of the night in the sky, that is, without covering, this is the yoga of the day. The so-called having the name of the image of swirling nectar, etc., the third branch, life exertion, should be spoken of. It has also been said: Great precious five colors, it is said to be the root of life. Having contemplated the self-mantra in the heart, life is to be placed into the bindu. Thus it is. The detailed explanation of this should be spoken of, the five colors are the nature of the five Tathagatas. Therefore, it is a great precious jewel. Life is living, striving, and that by which it grows long, that is life exertion, thus it is said and accepted. Merely the nature of entering, etc., to be accustomed to day and night, therefore, the self-mantra in the heart, that is, having meditated on the white lotus in one's own heart, life is to be placed into the bindu.

"Laughter" is the third limb. Thus, in the place of the bindu, life ceases in the form of a lump. Therefore, that is said to be "holding," which is the limb of holding. It is also said: "When the self-existing precious jewel ceases, it should be held, it is called holding." The detailed explanation here is the objects such as one's own form. The faculties are the eyes and so on, when oneself and the faculties cease and dissolve, that is the abiding place, the support of the objects and faculties, the precious jewel, that is, the precious jewel of the mind, together with the life force ceasing and disappearing, what is to be held is the holding. Now, what is it? "Only holding the true limit" is called the fourth limb. One should recite with the limb of non-dual Madhyamaka, the explanation here is that life does not flow in the left and right channels. It is also said: "One should not beg and eat, nor should one recite, arising begging will also become joyful. Recite with the non-dual limb of mantra, enjoying all desirable pleasures." Letters with different forms are said to be begging and eating, focusing on the places where they are separately gathered. Arising begging is transformed from symbols, called the suchness of mantra. Mantra entering, abiding, and possessing is the nature of separate thoughts, the non-dual limb is suchness, the ultimate truth, the limb of non-dual Madhyamaka itself. It is said, "Remembrance is called practice." It is also said: "With the firm Vajra path, spreading in the realm of space, having meditated with remembrance, one should spread that form." With the Vajra path, that is, not to be trampled, entering the clear light with the order of the five signs, with a firm and pure mind, in the realm of space, that is, spreading in the realms of the world, that is, with the nature of the Dharmakaya. Thus, having meditated and realized oneself becoming clear light, previously with remembrance, having obtained the true limit with forms such as illusions, one should truly spread with that form, that is, with that order. Immediately following, what is said is the fifth limb, remembrance. Having the nature of co-emergent bliss
