And, mindfulness and samadhi, are called the six limbs of yoga. Therefore, before meditation, one should know to gather the mind. Before mantra recitation, one should know to control the breath. Here, by the word mantra recitation, one should say that it is the recitation of neither male nor female or the vajra recitation, that is, breath control. Before bliss, one should know mindfulness, here, by the word bliss, one should say samadhi. Thus, with these six limbs, the yogi will become a Buddha. The common external yogi will achieve worldly siddhis. The first child yogis, with mantra recitation, that is, with the one called gathering the mind, and with meditation, that is, the mind that meditates on the mandala wheel and so on, and with bliss, that is, the bliss of the transformation and movement of the action mudra and the wisdom mudra, with worldly bliss, that is, up to the peak of existence in Akanishta. Thus, with the two stages, one will achieve the worldly and the transcendental yogi. Here, how the transcendental yogi will achieve with the six-limbed yoga, thus it is declared. Here, the so-called gathering the mind, that is, the sense organs such as the eyes do not enter into the external objects such as forms, but the sense organs such as the eyes enter into the internal objects such as the divine eyes, that is, the consciousness of the divine eyes and so on enter into the internal. By focusing on emptiness within, one sees that all things are empty, without examination, like a maiden seeing in a mirror, this is called the limb of gathering the mind. In order to see the image of the Buddha of the three realms. Thereafter, the so-called meditation, that is, when one is about to see all the empty dharmas, the so-called wisdom merges into these, and the so-called discernment, that is, knowing the things of the mind, and the so-called joy, that is, the mind abides in all things, and the so-called unwavering bliss, that is, from all things, all bliss is perfectly complete. Thus, these five are called the limbs of meditation.

Then, the so-called life exertion is lalanā, and rasanā, the left and right paths are blocked, so the life-force wind constantly enters the central channel avadhūtī. That is, with the practice of filling and kumbhaka, and expelling, in avadhūtī, it enters with the syllable Oṃ (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡), stops with the syllable Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽), and expels with the syllable Āḥ (藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आः,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:啊), with the nature of the moon, Rāhu, and the sun, the yogi performs it, so it is said. Then, the so-called holding is the great power of life, and in the mandala of water, fire, and wind, it enters the navel, heart, throat, and forehead, and without going outward, it enters the bindu, which is called the limb of holding, so it should be said. Then, the so-called recollection is seeing one's desired deity, having the form of an image, free from conceptualization. From that, the mandala of the nature of radiating countless rays of light, from that, the one whose nature is radiating various kinds of rays of light, gladdening the three realms, so it is said to be the limb of recollection. Then, the so-called samādhi is following and clinging to the desired deity, thereby obtaining unchanging bliss. Focusing the mind on that, the mind that is the object, the subject, and free from elaboration, the Tathāgatas have said to be the limb of samādhi. Here, the six-limbed yoga is taught in brief, so that the yogi may realize the siddhi of Mahāmudrā through the extensive Abhisamaya or the oral instructions of the supreme primordial Buddha guru. Here, the oral instructions for meditating on the primordial path of the six limbs are also taught in other tantras. Here, in the later glorious Guhyasamāja, during the approaching, practice, and near practice, during the approaching, one should diligently contemplate the image of the great crown protuberance. During the near practice, it is the image of the swirling nectar. When the yogi diligently practices, one should meditate on the image of the deity. During the great practice, it is the image of the Buddha, the all-pervading lord. So it is said. In that moment of thought, the image of the other great crown protuberance is the entirety of the three realms, in the dharmadhātu of space, the mind abides firmly in the vajra, during the approaching.
