It is said that one should not speak of the high and low of the teacher. Not respecting his teachings and being angry is the third, which becomes a root downfall. It is also distinguished by the Vajra brothers of each of the above six dharmas, and possesses the seven dharmas. The name of abandoning loving-kindness is: Here, abandoning loving-kindness has four types, namely, the lowest, the middle, the highest, and the highest of the highest. Among them, the lowest is like drawing a picture in water with a stick, separated from loving-kindness for only a moment, and then re-entering. The middle is like drawing a picture on sand, which is blown away by the wind and disappears immediately, and then immediately re-entering loving-kindness. The highest is like the continuous erosion of rain with earthy properties, and one remembers it when there is a slight loving-kindness. The highest of the highest is like rocks and other hard objects, once cracks and the like appear, there is never a chance to reunite, or like ripe fruits falling to the ground, there is no possibility of returning to the branches, and they no longer stay. Abandoning loving-kindness in this way becomes a root downfall, with a time limit of sixty hours. It is certain to become the fourth root downfall. The name of abandoning the mind of enlightenment is: Here, the seed of the mind of enlightenment, whatever it may be, once lost, happiness also becomes a delusion. Therefore, those who have not attained this mind but desire to attain Buddhahood through the pleasure of the two organs, the root downfall is the fifth arrow. It is also the nature that cannot be changed by great wisdom, as well as the thought of only taking changeable happiness, and clinging to it, secrecy, for the sake of the happiness of others, and not for the purpose of benefit and happiness. Possessing the four dharmas becomes the fifth arrow. The name of slandering the tenets is: It is the vehicle of the Perfection of Wisdom, and if one holds that it is different from the principles of mantra, it is a root downfall. Slandering other vehicles besides it is not a root downfall. It also steals common attainments. It also speaks with hatred, abiding in the vehicle of mantra, and the vehicle of the non-dual Perfection of Wisdom, not for the sake of others, and clinging to it well, without regret.

Endowed with five qualities, it becomes the sixth downfall. Giving secrets to immature beings. In this statement, "immature" refers to someone oppressed by the path of afflictions. If the secret of mantra is proclaimed to such a person, it becomes a downfall because they are frightened and slander it. However, if others are pleased, and have faith and the potential for liberation, there is no fault. Furthermore, if the secret is proclaimed to someone who will become displeased, or not for the purpose of taming, and the secret of great bliss is revealed, endowed with three qualities, it becomes the seventh downfall. Revealing something other than the secret of great bliss, this downfall causes worldly siddhis to decline. In the statement, "the body, afflictions, is a naga," the body, i.e., the five skandhas, etc., is the nature of the five Buddha families. The elements and sources are goddesses and bodhisattvas. Afflicting has two aspects: afflicting the body with heat, cold, food, etc., and generating affliction through the effort of killing. Why is it considered a root downfall? Because tormenting the skandhas does not generate bliss, and not generating bliss causes the non-dual wisdom to decline. Proclaiming the effort to kill is said to become a downfall due to bodhicitta. Therefore, it is a root downfall. Also, knowing that the skandhas, etc., are the Buddhas, goddesses, and bodhisattvas, and knowing that tormenting them causes decline from bliss, and not for the purpose of taming. Endowed with three qualities, it becomes the eighth downfall. Not having faith in pure dharma. In this statement, "pure dharma" refers to the profound emptiness that completely abandons all grasping. If one does not believe in this dharma and refutes it, it is a root downfall. Also, not for the purpose of taming, and abandoning emptiness and accepting what is with elaboration, with these two qualities, it becomes the ninth downfall. The so-called causal love, causal love is hypocrisy. Not guarding vows, etc., with faith, but guarding them in a way that seeks gain and verses, i.e., secretly doing unwholesome deeds. Thus, it is being controlled by deceit. With just the first quality, it becomes a downfall.
