Bound by virtuous deeds. This is to show evil thoughts. Therefore, it should be known that among all donations, the donation of desire is particularly excellent, and thus it is proclaimed. Such as giving cows, giving land, and also giving enjoyment to the human world, giving medicine and food, which can pacify all diseases, pacify hunger and thirst. From all of these, what need is there to say during the time of the wheel of giving that desires to give equal happiness and fruit? Giving away beloved wives, virtuous sisters, daughters, secrets, is done through giving. This is because, from all donations of land and so on, it gives the most excellent and unchanging happiness. It should be known that the donation of desire is particularly excellent, so one should give pleasing retinues and so on at all times for the Vajra offering. Now, with the four mudras such as prostitutes, it is shown that they are purified by the four mudras such as karma mudra. As in "clearly selling the body," etc., here the prostitute is the karma mudra, because it is common to all sentient beings. Similarly, the secret woman is the secret mudra, because it becomes secret like a vow, as it is not obvious. The independent mudra is the dharma mudra, because it is not controlled by anyone. The retinue is the wisdom mudra, because it is the same as one's own mind. How are those? As in "clearly selling the body," etc., the twelve-year-old prostitute, successively the sixteen-year-old, twenty-year-old, and thirty-year-old retinue, should be known in that order. Having thus known the characteristics of those mudras, one should offer them as one would comply with the guru and so on. Why? Because after entering the Great Vehicle Secret Mantra, the siddhi of the Great Mudra will not be accomplished until the donation of desire is given. Therefore, it is proclaimed that in the past, the Buddhas gave land, elephants, horses, vehicles, and much gold. They gave for the sake of Buddhahood, and again, sons and flesh and blood, etc., were greatly...

The transformation of generosity: Through this, one becomes the Buddha of desire, and then performs the generosity of desire. From that, the Victorious One of Buddhahood is born, the fires of lineage through secret generosity. That is to say, the Blessed One, Shakyamuni, having seen that his own purpose was not accomplished by generosity and so forth in the past, in order to perfect the generosity of desire, took sixty thousand consorts. Afterwards, he gave all of them away in generosity and became manifestly enlightened with unsurpassed Bodhi. Furthermore, just as a special result comes from a small cause, he showed that very thing. For example, here, if one obtains that much gold with copper, and a jewel of a heavenly crown with a small piece of agate, and clearly obtains a heavenly goddess of the heavenly realm by giving a prostitute, and a musk deer's navel with a small piece of skin, and a horse with a donkey, and an elephant by exchanging cloth, just as the generosity of a household that is impermanent and the cause of samsara, and obtaining the Great Seal that is the consort of the Blessed One Vajrasattva, is it not a special meaning? To whom should those and other generosities be given? To the place of love, and so forth. Here, external generosity should be given in common to all sentient beings with a mind that does not depend on results, and the generosity of desire and so forth should definitely be given to the lama and to those who are special individuals. In this way, the order of speaking is that the generosity of desire is prevented by making the Vedas of the wicked Brahmins the measure in order to protect one's own lineage. Therefore, whatever one desires to be the measure of the Vedas, that Veda becomes the measure. Because one desires the Veda to be the measure, the supreme generosity becomes the measure. Because the supreme generosity becomes the measure, the tormented mind becomes the measure. For one whose tormented mind has become the measure, the sin of sending to hell becomes the measure.

Because whatever giving is, it becomes a place for benefiting sentient beings. Therefore, the Bhagavan spoke of this distinguished giving, and not just giving itself. To show this, it is said in the scriptures: "For the auspiciousness of the temple, for clothes and food, the Bhagavan said this is virtuous. The giving of medicine and food eliminates the disease of sin, and the giver gives there. Without giving, the temple on earth becomes a dwelling for animals. Wherever food is obtained, it becomes the Sangha, Dharma, and Buddha, O King!" That is the meaning. Now, in the manner of mantra, the nature of the manifestly appearing Three Jewels is shown. Starting with "Buddha," in order to attain the unsurpassed Bodhi, one should take refuge in the Three Jewels. From the perspective of ultimate truth, the Three Jewels are not like this: "The temple is the dwelling of the Buddha, these are the written scriptures, which are the Dharma, and the Sangha wearing corpse clothes is supreme; the bliss of the chief lord is not given by millions of births." This means that the Buddha images made of wood and clay, the collection of letters existing in the scriptures, and the Sangha with shaved hair and wearing corpse clothes, cannot give the supreme bliss of the Bhagavan Vajrasattva. So, what are the Three Jewels in ultimate truth? It is said in the scriptures: "The teacher is the Buddha, he is the supreme holy place, and the Dharma is what he taught." This means that the Vajra Master, who is fully endowed with all abilities and manifests as the nature of Vajrasattva, is the Buddha Bhagavan, and not material and hidden things. Therefore, the Dharma of the world and beyond, which he taught with meanings that need to be guided and meanings that are definite, is the true Dharma, and not the collection of letters existing on paper. Similarly, the retinue of the teacher who has compassion for all sentient beings like an only child and whose mind is always joyful is the true Sangha, and not those who only want to tame themselves and are full of suffering. These are brief.
