Whatever arises from connection undoubtedly becomes the nature of wandering in samsara. Thus, having explained the absence of cause, the absence of place is explained: Wisdom, mind, speech, and body do not truly abide in four places. It is called 'wisdom' because it knows the bliss that is the nature of transformation. It is called 'mind' because it has the nature of what should be taken and what should be abandoned, and it creates the habits of samsara, and so on. It is called 'speech' because it expresses a vase and a pillar. It is called 'body' because it is accumulated from flesh, blood, bones, skin, hair, and so on. For these and so on, the self-aware wisdom of ultimate reality does not abide, and this is called wisdom. The meaning of this is as follows: Samsaric beings believe that body, speech, mind, and wisdom abide in the manner of support and supported, but not in the manner of producer and produced. Why is that? Because even if the body becomes impermanent, self-aware wisdom does not become impermanent. Similarly, in the Shri Hevajra Tantra, it is said: Great wisdom abides in the body, completely abandoning all thoughts, pervading all things, the body is the place, but it is not born from the body. Thus spoke the Bhagavan. Having thus negated the impermanent place, the place where coemergent bliss arises is spoken of: Completely abandon the karma mudra, completely abandon the wisdom mudra, truly arising from the great mudra, not accompanied by others, is coemergent. The 'karma mudra' is said to be that which is increased by pure and impure actions, and is associated with holding hair and breasts, and so on. The 'wisdom mudra' is that which is completely distinguished by one's own mind, and knows the bliss of defilements, and is therefore the wisdom mudra, which is the meaning of the form of the deity, and so on. Whatever arises from that (wisdom mudra) is not coemergent, why is that? Because it arises from dependence and connection, is impermanent, has not transcended the habits of samsara, and does not give unsurpassed bodhi. So, from where does it arise?
