It is the place of protection, meaning the self-aware wisdom that dwells in one's own heart. What is that? The so-called first Buddha, because it was born before the beginningless cycle of existence, is the first; because it awakened from the sleep of ignorance, it is called Buddha. What are its characteristics? Its characteristics are explained with dissimilar ornaments. Starting with the womb, etc., first being born in the state of an ordinary person, and seeing the suffering of the cycle of death, the Bhagavan perfected the accumulation of merit and the accumulation of wisdom. By the power of these two accumulations, the non-abiding nirvana, which is free from birth and death, etc., is directly realized. It is called doing so. Afterwards, seeing that the beings dwelling in samsara are burned by the three sufferings, in order to cool that suffering for the fortunate beings, they abandon the non-abiding nirvana and take birth in the womb. Furthermore, having been liberated from the bonds of desire, etc., in order to show the sublime path to living beings, they again take hold of existence, which has become the nature of affliction. Therefore, from the classes of gods and asuras, etc., the Bhagavan repeatedly takes on emanated bodies. Because that emanated body benefits all beings, it is called possessing qualities. From the classes of two-legged beings, etc., the emanated body is born, and it is called the Garland of Various Jatakas. Similarly, from rabbits, tigers, and lions, and from elephants, etc., many times, with compassion benefiting, possessing wisdom, those who have accomplished the mudras will be born. It is called doing so. Furthermore, whoever is liberated from the bonds of existence, but those who benefit beings take hold of existence; although they truly teach the meaning of emptiness, they do not abandon the fruits of karma due to the power of time. The fire of true wisdom burns away the defilements of the mind, and true compassion constantly moistens. Striving for the benefit of beings, the realm of activity is difficult to fathom, I prostrate to that Buddha. Thus it is said. Therefore, the conduct of the Buddha, who is endowed with great miraculous powers.

Such a Bhagavan, who is he? I, the protector of the world, will prostrate to him, this is the connection. Thus, after making a general prostration, he prostrates in the manner that Vajrasattva and Shakyamuni are inseparable. The Tathagata Shakya Simha bows to Vajrasattva. This is its meaning. After prostrating, what does he do? The necessity is shown by the "Inner Chapter" and so on. Among them, in order to show the "Inner Chapter", the emanation body of Vajrapani, Chandra Bhadra, petitioned the Bhagavan, which is shown by the two verses "I have not sought" and so on. Then, starting from Chandra Bhadra's "Words are heard" and so on, until the entire chapter is completed, it is the Bhagavan's answer. Among them, first, in order to abandon the gross discriminations arising from wandering externally and becoming the nature of non-wandering things, for the purpose of the yogi knowing internally through their respective seed syllables, the verses such as "Earth and water" are spoken. Then, what is the cause and what is the result of this body? The verses such as "In this body" are spoken. Then, what is this body like? How is it produced? It is shown by "Seed" and so on. Then, what kind of actions do these elements such as earth and water perform? The actions of the elements are explained by "Seed and so on". Then, what is this body like? In what order does it arise? Its various stages are shown by "Secret lotus" and so on. Then, are they fish and so on themselves, or are they in accordance with the Dharma? It is explained by "The substance of fish is fish" and so on, that it is in accordance with their Dharma, and not these substances themselves. Then, in short, the causes that produce the body are semen and blood, then how are hands and so on produced from these? It is shown by "From melting" and so on that the causes and things that produce the elements are different. Then, do the elements of the body arise sequentially or all at once? It is explained by "Seed" and so on that they arise sequentially.
