etc. are not done. In a triangular hearth, offering burnt offerings with sandalwood branches, dust, and wood apple flowers is for exercising power, not for causing rigidity, etc. In an octagonal hearth, offering burnt offerings with wood apple branches, old flowers, and saliva is for causing rigidity, not for causing delusion, etc. In a hexagonal hearth, offering burnt offerings with arka branches, golden shower tree flowers, and alcohol is for causing delusion, not for causing pacification, etc. Similarly, distinctions are taught by the classification of colored powders: white powder for pacification and increase, black powder for killing and expulsion, red powder for power and attraction, yellow powder for rigidity and delusion, and green powder for restoration. Similarly, distinctions are taught by the classification of rosaries: for pacification, mantra recitation with crystal rosaries, etc.; for increase, rosaries of pearl beads; for killing, rosaries of human bones; for expulsion, rosaries of sow bones or donkey bones; for power, rosaries of coral; for attraction, rosaries of lotus seeds or red sandalwood; for rigidity, rosaries of rudraksha; for delusion, rosaries of gentian; and for restoration, mantra recitation with agate rosaries, etc. Thus, mantras, medicines, jewels, swords, essences, elixirs, and so forth, the substances that are accomplished, also have temporary qualities, but they do not have the qualities that can become supreme. Here, in the Buddha-fields of the three-thousandfold great thousand worlds, just as the Bhagavan simultaneously benefits sentient beings with many emanated bodies and various languages, yogis cannot benefit sentient beings with these temporarily accomplished things, because they are only temporary. The Bhagavan, in the praise of discriminating wisdom from the "Namasangiti," speaks the first three verses as follows: Truly without self, thusness itself. Truly the limit, without letters. Supreme among those who speak of emptiness. Profound and vast, proclaiming sound. cha.

The conch of Dharma, possessing great sound. The ghanta of Dharma, with a loud voice. The one who does not abide in Nirvana. The great drum of Dharma in the ten directions. Formless yet possessing excellent form, pleasing. Possessing various forms, born from the mind. All forms are the splendor of appearance. Holding all images, thus it is said. Likewise, in the fifth chapter of the King of Tantras, the Wisdom Chapter, with ninety-seven verses, the words of the Bhagavan, the All-Knowing One, are spoken as follows: The sound of the conch travels to the desire realm gods, asuras, and others, as well as to the crawling gods and humans, even to the holy land of Tibet and others. The three forms of past, future, and present, and the ever-true Dharma, are all being proclaimed. With their own different languages, they flawlessly place all beings of the three realms on the right path. This is the speech of the All-Knowing One, who bestows the fruit of bliss and equality, and it is not the language of the gods either. Furthermore, in the verses of that same chapter, the activities of the body and speech of the All-Knowing One are proclaimed, as follows: In previous lives, the objects of tranquility and attachment, etc., born from one's own heart. By the power of habit, abiding in the wheel, one can see many, by the power of aspiration and merit. The sound of one meaning in many languages, with their respective objects, intensely enters the hearts of beings. For the sake of the merit of those who possess a place, they abide in the wheel, and for alms, they go forth to demonstrate. Here, just as the body, speech, mind, and wisdom of the All-Knowing One, in all aspects, are without discrimination and capable of accomplishing all purposes, so too, the meditative concentration and mantras, etc., of the yogis, with their discriminating thoughts, cannot accomplish the purposes of the All-Knowing One. Likewise, the exhaustion of earth, etc., directly realized by those who are free from desire, is also only temporary. Why? Because it is for the sake of demonstrating temporary miracles. Here, whoever, being free from desire, directly realizes the exhaustion of earth, is demonstrating the exhaustion of earth, but cannot demonstrate the exhaustion of water, etc. Likewise, the exhaustion of emptiness, and so forth, each exhaustion should also be understood in the same way. Here, the one who possesses the wheel of the mandala,
