If it is said that one can subdue the demons all at once, it is not so. One does not subdue the demons all at once. In the moment when there are demons, one does not become a Buddha, because the mind is obscured. In the moment when one is a Buddha, there are no demons, because all obscurations are exhausted. Therefore, the body, speech, and mind of sentient beings, and the nature of the imprints of ignorance, are the four demons. Among them, the obscuration of the body is the skandha demon, the obscuration of speech is the klesha demon, and the obscuration of mind is the death demon. The external activity of ignorance is the deva-putra demon. Those with childish minds who do not fully consider the enjoyment of the fruits of virtuous and non-virtuous actions, and who manifestly desire the enjoyments of samsara, their external activity of ignorance is transformed by the words of the deva-putra demon. Here, the words of the deva-putras are that the power of the moon causes the minds of sentient beings to become virtuous and non-virtuous, and the power of the sun, the power of auspiciousness, the power of the planets, the power of Jupiter, the power of Mars, the power of Saturn, the power of Rahu, the power of comets, the power of stars, the power of dates, the power of constellations, the power of combinations, the power of actions, and the power of seasonal combinations cause them to become virtuous and non-virtuous. Similarly, those who delight in the power of song, the words of others are that one will be victorious in battle through the power of song, and one will be victorious on the battlefield through the power of yoginis, the power of stars, the power of Rahu, and the power of fierce forces, and so on. Similarly, the external activity of ignorance of the Shravakas who have become Buddhas is that the virtuous and non-virtuous of sentient beings are transformed by the thought of dependent origination. Similarly, the words of other deva-putras are that everything will become virtuous through the grace of the gods, and such activities of ignorance of sentient beings are the words of the deva-putra demon. Here, if it is not the merit and demerit of other lives, but the deva-putra demon's...

If these words could change the virtue and non-virtue of beings, then all the previously accumulated virtue and non-virtue would become meaningless, because (beings) would enjoy the power and non-power of constellations and so on. But this is not the case. Similarly, delusion is also seen. In the Kalachakra calculations, it is said: Auspicious stars bring happiness, Inauspicious stars bring emptiness. By grace, Fighting is pleasing, but not completely victorious, The army of fear will destroy everything into powder. Where the army is stationed on the battlefield, Those who want to strive to accomplish the government, Those people will be pierced by the arrow of accomplishing the government, All directions will be destroyed. Therefore, beings should enjoy the fruits of their previous good and non-good deeds. Similarly, the Bhagavan also said: The actions of body, speech, and mind, Whether good or non-good, Its fruits are enjoyed by beings, No other gods give the fruits. If someone thinks this is a gift from the gods, it is also because of the power of the previous merit of beings, not the power of sin. Merit also comes from benefiting beings, not from killing sacrifices to gods and ancestors. The Bhagavan, in the chapter of the Earth Store Sutra, spoke of the fruits of karma in the eighty-ninth verse, as follows: Therefore, no creator can give or take away the happiness and suffering of beings. Whatever three actions are done in samsara, previous karma will bring forth fruits. To think that this is the giver and that is the taker is the mind of the ignorant. The immeasurable good deeds on the body are taken away, but one's own senses cannot see it. Similarly, the son of the gods, Mara, also said in the eighty-sixth verse of the fifth chapter: The lord of the three realms, with fierce actions, naturally proclaimed many illusionary mantras. All of these are the companions of Mara, the cause of fear, but will never affect beings. Those who like the battlefield, the slaughtering-minded rememberers and creators, and other heretics, for these people, the most supreme princes will...
