Ah ha! The ritual for the disciple to remain in place. Then, after dismissing the disciple, in the center of the mandala, place a vase of complete victory, a vajra thread to the east, a container of vajra colored powder to the west, a vajra to the south, and a bell to the north. The teacher should arrange these starting from the doorway. Arrange them in five places, and then in the south, for the sake of auspicious and inauspicious signs, make the mattress especially stable with this mantra: Om Ho Vajra Kamala Dala Garbheshaye Vajra Sukha Maha Nidram Karam Ya Tatha Ta Tathagate Na Kritah Hum Hum Svaha. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཧོཿབཛྲ་ཀ་མ་ལ་ད་ལ་གརྦྷེ་ཤཡེ་བཛྲ་སུ་ཁ་མ་ཧཱ་ནི་དྲཱཾ་ཀ་རོམ་ཡ་ཐཱ་ཏ་ཐཱ་ག་ཏེ་ན་ཀྲྀ་ཏཱ་ཧཿ་ཧཿ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ hoḥ vajra kamala dala garbheśaye vajra sukha mahā nidrāṃ karaṃ ya thā ta tathā gate na kṛtāḥ hūṃ hūṃ svāhā, Literal Chinese meaning: Om Ho Vajra Lotus Petal Womb Free Vajra Happiness Great Sleep Maker As Is As Is Tathagata Made Hum Hum Svaha.) The mattress is stabilized. Then, the teacher should lie down with his head facing west and his feet facing east. In this regard, one should look for signs through the power of meditation or dreams. If one sees Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, as well as auspicious signs such as a multitude of goddesses, then that is auspicious. If one sees a Vajra Dakini holding a curved knife and a skull cup, or the chief of wrathful deities, as well as demons, obstacles, and evil guides, being destroyed up to the edge of the protective wheel, then that is also auspicious. If one sees nothing at all, then that is mediocre. If the teacher or disciple sees the class of demons, tormented by hunger and thirst, with long and dry bodies, holding curved knives and skull cups, delighting in harming good people, then that becomes a bad sign. After seeing that, the Vajra Master should leave the mattress and, in the eastern part of the mandala, meditate on the protective wheel mentioned earlier, and then again offer a vast torma to them with the ritual mentioned earlier. Again, another purifying mantra is: Om Phrem Vajra Dakini Vajra Dhatvishvari Gagan Svabhava Sarva Dravya Vishodhani Sarva Dravyani Vishodhaya Hum Phrem Phat. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཕྲེཾ་བཛྲ་ཊཱ་ཀི་ནཱི་བཛྲ་དྷཱ་ཏྭཱི་ཤྭ་རིག་ག་ན་སྭ་བྷཱ་བ་སརྦ་དྲ་བྱ་བི་ཤོ་དྷ་ནི་སརྦ་དྲ་བྱཱ་ཎྀ་བི་ཤོ་དྷ་ཡ་ཧུཾ་ཕྲེཾ་ཕཊ་, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ phreṃ vajra ḍākinī vajra dhātvīśvari gagana svabhāva sarva dravya viśodhani sarva dravyāṇi viśodhaya hūṃ phreṃ phaṭ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om Trem Vajra Dakini Vajra Realm Free Space Nature All Things Purify All Things Purify Hum Trem Phat.) This is the mantra for purifying the torma that pacifies obstacles. Then, the Buddhas should be invited. Invite the Buddhas with their consorts, the sons with their retinues and attendants, and the retinue surrounded by friends and relatives, and the beings who please the gods and goddesses, and the supreme Vajrasattva, please come, with this verse:
