Likewise, the lamp, for pacifying and increasing, is a butter lamp. For subjugating and expelling, with human fat. For magnetizing and attracting, with sesame oil. For bewilderment and rigidity, with mustard oil and birch oil, and so forth, these are the specifications for lamps. Likewise, for pacifying and increasing, unbroken rice. For subjugating and expelling, foxtail millet, and for magnetizing and attracting, mustard seeds, and for rigidity and bewilderment, lentils or other grains. Likewise, for clothing and so forth, for pacifying and increasing, all offering substances are white. For subjugating and expelling, black, and for magnetizing and attracting, red, and for rigidity and bewilderment, all actions are yellow, and for green, these are the specifications for the offering ritual. Now, the method for drawing the mandala that will be explained for the actions of pacifying and so forth is taught, and the mandala that will be explained here is, for pacifying and increasing, the fresh leaves of the banyan tree, cut with a Durva grass pen soaked in juice mixed with Śrīkhaṇḍa (Sanskrit Devanagari: श्रीखण्ड, Sanskrit Romanization: śrīkhaṇḍa, Chinese literal meaning: Auspicious खंड) and sā, and for increasing, with a cooling pen.
