"Should pay homage" is the meaning of uprightness. Here, monks who hold the corpse cloth should pay homage to the Vajra Master at three times. For lay people and novices, it is only to teach the true Dharma, and nothing else. For example: in order to avoid worldly reproaches, the true Dharma and so on are displayed in front, and the practitioner of celibacy should pay homage with wisdom to lay people or novices. Similarly, abandoning non-supreme actions and prostrations, laying out mats and standing up, and serving and respecting things like handling affairs, all should be done by those who hold celibacy. Here, if lay people or novices are also the same as the Vajra Master of the monks, then what should be done at that time? Abandoning non-supreme actions, such as washing feet, and prostrations with five limbs, when the lama comes to his own residence, he should make offerings with wealth and so on. At the time of teaching, in order to avoid worldly reproaches, the true Dharma and so on should be displayed in front, and then prostrations should be made. The worldly reproach mentioned here refers to the fact that whether it is a lay person or a novice, they do not hold the signs of a higher level due to laziness, so they have neither heard nor fully understood the Pratimoksha vows. If there is no laziness and arrogance, then one should first understand the vows of a monk, and then learn the Mahayana. Why not follow the teachings of the Bhagavan in the Hevajra Tantra and other scriptures? Therefore, if there is a monk Vajra Holder, then the master who lives at home should not be relied upon by the monks, and the king should not rely on him in any way. Similarly, after a comprehensive observation of the master, "with begging and red clothes, the evil nature feels ashamed, performing lewd prostrations and offerings, it will not decline for the Buddhists," this is related. Similarly, "When red clothes are seen, sinful people will generate hatred, Buddhists who love the Dharma of heretics, then they will tend to white clothes." The Buddhist teachings mentioned here are not always white clothes, for example, in the monastery of Manjushri, when monks and novices fail, they will be given white clothes, the corpse cloth will be taken away, and they must be expelled from the monastery.

Knowing. The Vajra Master also comes from the monastery of mantra practitioners with the authority of a king. In this sacred land, how can a householder, wearing white clothes, be the master of those who hold charnel grounds, and perform consecrations in monasteries and other places? If there are monks who hold the vajra, but rely on those who have obtained the opportunity to harm, this is a great contempt for the Sangha, and it is certain that this will completely degenerate the classification of the Sugata. Therefore, one must fully examine all situations, rely on a guru without faults, and abandon a guru with faults. This is the definitive statement regarding the examination of the guru. Now, beginning with "profound and," the characteristics of a superior disciple are explained for the sake of empowerment of wisdom and intelligence, etc. Here, in the practice of mantra, there are two types of disciples: one who seeks to accomplish the siddhi of Mahamudra, and the other who seeks to accomplish worldly siddhis. Whoever seeks to accomplish the siddhi of Mahamudra should be properly initiated through vase empowerment, secret empowerment, etc., in order to meditate on the path of emptiness. Whoever seeks to accomplish worldly siddhis should be properly initiated through the seven empowerments in order to meditate on mantras, mudras, and the wheel of the mandala, that is, the intermediate one is the cause of merit. The lowest one is not properly initiated through empowerment, but is properly initiated through the precepts of a layperson, this is the definitive statement. Here, whoever cherishes the profound and vast Dharma, that is, the nature of emptiness and great compassion, is one who cherishes the profound and vast Dharma, that is, a superior disciple. The so-called "delighting in the guru's definitive statement" refers to being free from the fourteen root downfalls and delighting in the ten virtuous dharmas. The so-called "having the quality of generosity" refers to completely abandoning all busyness and not depending on wealth, etc. The so-called "knowing qualities" refers to having faith in the Three Jewels. The so-called "seeking liberation" refers to not depending on worldly siddhis. The so-called "respecting the tantra" refers to protecting the vows spoken of in the tantra. The so-called "having an unwavering mind" refers to
