The term "abiding especially therein" means that here, the Vajrayana is the vehicle of perfect and complete enlightenment, because it cannot be divided by the vehicles of heretics, hearers, and solitary realizers, therefore it is Vajra, and because one goes to liberation by it, it is Vajrayana. Abiding especially therein means abiding especially in the Vajrayana. The term "meditating on that itself" means that here, "that itself" is of two kinds, namely, accomplishing worldly siddhis and accomplishing perfect and complete enlightenment itself, which will be explained in the fifth chapter, the chapter on wisdom, as the accomplishment of immutable wisdom. It should be spoken from there. The term "meditating on that itself" means that this is its state. The term "unattached" means that there is no attachment to all things such as sons and wives, and even to one's own body. The term "separated from stains" means that stains are the collection of desire, hatred, ignorance, pride, jealousy, and miserliness, and that which is separated from them in many ways is separated from stains. The term "state of patience" means that patience is entering deeply by its own nature without depending on the fruit. The term "entering the path" means that the path is the path of perfect and complete enlightenment, and it has the state of entering into it. If one relies on such a lama, then for the disciples, the path will be given, and the destruction of hell will be taken away. The term "endowed with pure conduct from that itself" means that one has obtained the supreme and immutable bliss. The term "to the Maras" means the aggregates, afflictions, the Lord of Death, and the sons of the gods, and to these four Maras, like a vajra scepter, is the vajra scepter. Moreover, on the basis of the lotus, it is well known as Vajrasattva, and the term "emanation body" is the necessity of relying on the Vajra Master. Now, in order to fully examine the faults of the wicked master, it is explained by the three verses beginning with "endowed with pride." Here, in the practice of mantra, if the lama has faults such as pride, then even if such a lama is taken as a lama, for the wise disciples, that is, those with intelligence, one should avoid taking him as the cause of perfect enlightenment, just as one avoids hell. Because this person has pride, he is called endowed with pride. Pride also...

There are many forms, such as arrogance due to mastery, arrogance due to wealth and power, and arrogance due to fully understanding the ten aspects, paths, and forms, etc. Whoever possesses these should be abandoned. If one looks at lower beings, one becomes arrogant; if one looks at higher beings, one becomes free from arrogance. Therefore, those who understand the true path should abandon arrogance and lack of compassion, and similarly, one should abandon being overwhelmed by anger. "Completely devoid of vows" means openly violating the secret vows despised by the world, thereby becoming devoid of vows, which should also be abandoned. Greed for possessions is also such, being greedy for the heavy possessions of the Sangha and stupas, etc., and enjoying the possessions of the lama, is greed for possessions. Similarly, accumulating possessions, etc., for the sake of samsaric enjoyment is also such. "Even without hearing" means ignorance, that is, lacking the oral instructions of the noble path. Similarly, those disciples of the holy ones who seek to deceive, that is, liars, should also be abandoned. From the place of supreme bliss, teaching the essence of mind without empowerment, that is, those who explain the tantras without empowerment, should also be abandoned. "Completely attached to enjoyments" means being completely and thoroughly attached in every way to the enjoyments of external samsara. Carelessness means drinking alcohol, that is, the state of not maintaining mindfulness should be abandoned, that is its meaning. "Desiring for the sake of sensory pleasure" means desiring for the pleasure of the two senses, which should also be abandoned, that is the definitive statement of the Tathagata. The rule of mantra is like this: one should accept the qualities of the teacher, faults will never become virtues. Accepting qualities brings accomplishment, speaking of faults brings no accomplishment. Similarly, "Whoever has obtained the supreme empowerment, the Vajra Master, is the Tathagata. All beings in the ten directions of the world, past, present, and future, come to prostrate," didn't the Tathagata say that? Therefore, one should accept the qualities of the teacher, and some words that have not degenerated may appear in this regard, therefore they should be spoken. Here it speaks of the time in the future when the true path will decline.
