I will become that! Hungry ghosts will see water as the nature of burning in rivers and so on. People who have fallen into hell, due to the power of their sins, will see spears and so on that cut and pierce. Now, these manifestations of the Buddha that are spoken of, etc., are for the sake of liberating these sentient beings. In times of merit, the Lord of the Conquerors together with his sons, that is, the Buddha, the Bhagavan, together with the Bodhisattvas, enters the place of action. To tame sentient beings, he takes birth in the womb and, with supreme compassion, generates Bodhicitta. Having conquered afflictions and the armies of demons, he turns the wheel of Dharma in the place on earth. Having performed illusory manifestations, again the Bhagavan, the one with the pure body, the Tathagata, just as he came. Therefore, the illusory manifestations of the Buddha and the nature of Nirvana appear due to the power of the merit and non-merit of sentient beings, this is certain. From this verse onwards, the other seven verses are easy to understand. Now, the characteristics of the great tastes, etc., that are spoken of are combustible things, etc. Here, माक्षिका (Tibetan: མཱ་ཀྵི་ཀ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: माक्षिका, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: mākṣika, honey) is a great taste and the nature of earth. The word "དང་" indicates that it is a great taste. Stainless is the nature of water, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: tutthaka, blue vitriol) is the nature of fire, shaking is the nature of wind, रजक (Tibetan: རས་ཀ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: रजक, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: rajaka, washerman) is the nature of emptiness, and the hare and cinnabar are the nature of the realm of wisdom, these are the seven great tastes. Then there are the near tastes, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: kāśī, Kashi) is equality, that is, the nature of the realm of wisdom, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: kāśis, Kashi) is the nature of the realm of space, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: mujī, Muji) is the nature of the realm of wind, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: loharosa, rust) is the nature of fire, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: bāvalā, Bavala) is the nature of water, and Sanskrit Roman transliteration: vatsaka, Vatsaka) is the nature of earth, these are the six near tastes. Then there are the five salts, rock salt, sea salt, rock salt, red salt, and stove salt, which are in order the nature of earth and so on. Then there are the five transformations, नाबसारा (Tibetan: ན་བ་སཱ་ར་, Sanskrit Devanagari: नाबसारा, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: nābasārā, Navasara), यवक्षार (Tibetan: ཡ་བཀྵཱ་ར་, Sanskrit Devanagari: यवक्षार, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: yavakṣāra, barley ash), सदाजिकाक्षार (Tibetan: ས་ད་ཛི་ཀ་ཀྵཱ་ར་, Sanskrit Devanagari: सदाजिकाक्षार, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: sadājikākṣāra, Sodajikashara), क्षार (Tibetan: ཚལ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: क्षार, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: kṣāra, alkali), and काच (Tibetan: ཀཱ་ཙའི་, Sanskrit Devanagari: काच, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: kāca, glass) transformations of salt, which are in order the nature of space and so on. Then there are the five waters, stone water is

of nature, moon water is the nature of water, hot water is the nature of fire, poison water is the nature of wind, and curved knife water is the nature of sky. There are also three types: the curved knife of touch, the curved knife of shadow, and the curved knife of sound, which are for cutting off the practitioners. Then there are five poisons: yellow glacier is the nature of earth element, shaga-tuka is the nature of water, horned one is the nature of fire, black poison is the nature of wind, and black accumulation is the nature of emptiness. The other near poisons are five types to be understood: Vajra-holder is the nature of earth, Arka is the nature of water, Dhatura is the nature of fire, Langali is the nature of wind, and Kara-vira is the nature of emptiness. Here, the field stones on the land, as well as the various essences of life, as well as the various shapes of fruits, and the various shapes of conch shells, etc., those are also six types, because from those realms, iron transforms into six types. Some transform into gold, and similarly, others transform into silver, etc. Growing chalcanthite has four types, that is, yellow chalcanthite iron is the nature of earth, white is the nature of water, red is the nature of fire, and black is the nature of wind, similarly, the iron of the gods is also. Similarly, the iron of the magnet, the rotating one is the nature of wind, the combining one is the nature of earth, the guiding one is the nature of fire, and the melting one is the nature of water. The nature of those melting ones is diverse, some are Vajra destroyers, that is, melting Vajra and melting chalcanthite. Similarly, some are melting gold, and similarly, melting silver, copper, and iron. Those should be placed nearby, and iron should not be taken from those. There are two tastes, that is, accomplished and unaccomplished. Digging iron, etc., is accomplished, that is, existing in holes in the ground, etc. Which is not the taste of digging Para and mercury, that is boiling iron, etc., and seeds.
