For those who have become accomplished as guides of the (scriptures), it is called 'reading' and so on. It is accomplished through oral reading. Therefore, the Vedas (r̥gveda, Devanagari: ऋग्वेद, Romanized: rigveda, literal meaning: Rigveda) are not like the sky, here, from the distinctions of places, it is certain that it is thoroughly spoken by the mouth. Through reasoning, the twice-born (Brahmins) recite with their mouths, that is life, and all other goers recite. Because the castes of commoners and so on, these Vedas, which are not all-goers, are not reading and going. Therefore, for those who have become wise and learned people, the Vedas are not a measure, this is briefly accomplished through the Vedas, it should be understood from the vast treatises on valid cognition, this is the certainty of Manjushri. Now, I will speak of refuting the previously stated birthplaces of Brahmins and so on, here, the mouth of Brahma is the birthplace of Brahmins, it is said because they are born from there. Similarly, the arms are the birthplace of the Kshatriya caste. The word 'etc.' indicates that the two thighs are the birthplace of the Vaishya caste. The two feet are the birthplace of the Shudra caste, thus there are four castes. The end of these four castes is the fifth caste, what is the birthplace of those Chandalas? For the time being, the Brahmins do not know, what else is there besides that? Here, it is considered true that Brahmins are born from the mouth of Brahma. Therefore, I will ask. Were Brahmin women also born from there? If they were born, then at that time they would become sisters, because they were born from the same birthplace. Similarly, the Kshatriyas and so on are also the same. Therefore, how can one marry one's sister? If one does, then at that time one enters the religion of the Mlecchas. If one enters the religion of the Mlecchas, then the caste will decline, and from the decline of the caste, one will fall into hell. This is reasoning. Furthermore, it should be analyzed in detail, here, if all beings are born from one, then how can there be four castes? For example, like four sons of one father, they are not separate castes. Similarly, the castes are also the same. If they are different because of the distinctions of the mouth of Brahma and so on, then that itself is not in accordance with reasoning, like the root and

Just as there is no difference between what is born from the stem and the tip, so too are sentient beings. Furthermore, the distinctions of white, red, yellow, and black colors are not seen. Similarly, the distinctions of realms, faculties, pleasure, pain, lineage, and doctrines are not seen, therefore it is established that there is no fixed lineage. Similarly, the fruits of sacrifices such as Ashvamedha are refuted by Shukra as follows: Cutting down the sacrificial tree and killing livestock, making a mire of blood, one goes to heaven. If going there is divine, then who will go to hell? This is the famous saying of Shukra. Therefore, the Vedas are not self-existent, the mouth and so forth are the birthplace of beings, and there is no supreme dharma other than Ashvamedha; if all the desires of Brahma are thoroughly examined, they are meaningless fabrications. The tenets of the Vaishnavas should be refuted along with Ishvara. Now, refuting the tenets of Ishvara, as stated in "if" and so forth: Here, if Ishvara were the doer of all, then the enjoyer would not be another, just as another eating a burden would cause another to die of thirst. But that is not the case. Whoever does is the doer, and whatever is done is the action. The enjoyer of the fruit of the action done is the doer of the action. Without action, the doer is not established, just as there is a potter for making a pot. Similarly, whoever does the action is reasonably the doer. It is said: Ishvara is not the independent doer of actions, but rather the connector. Answer: Here, if he is not the doer of actions, then the statement "doer of all" becomes meaningless. Here, if the doer is impelled to act, then at that time the doer is under the control of another. If one who is under the control of another commits a contrary action, how does the connector punish? Without independence, how does Ishvara pervade as independent? Thus, for those who speak of a doer, the fruit of action is not established, but that is not the case. Therefore, the fruit of virtue and non-virtue
