Etc., it is said that they bestow happiness and suffering. In samsara, I am the agent, and happiness and suffering are the bestowers. It is not the lord of men. There is no bestower of happiness and suffering in the three realms, because the power of the mind is abandoned. Here, the power of the mind is the characteristic of waking, dreaming, deep sleep, and the fourth state. The most important of these is the fourth state, which is the state of arising and ceasing. That is, after abandoning the power of the mind, I am the agent, and there is no bestower of happiness and suffering. Abandoning the transference of semen of sentient beings, there is no other bondage and liberation, meaning abandoning the mind of samsara. The mind of nirvana transcends samsara and resides in all bodies, not bound or liberated by anything. Just as taking water from the center of a vase cannot move. Space pervades, the Vajradhara of space, meaning that the mind purified by liberation such as emptiness is the Vajradhara of space. Separated from objects, it means without qualities, separated from such things as courage, dust, and darkness. It means separated from waking, dreaming, deep sleep, and the fourth state, without self-nature, and so it is in the center of the body. Eternal things and annihilated things do not exist. For those who do not have these, it is Vajradhara, meaning the pure mind. The minds of samsara and nirvana are certain. Now, from "Now like this," etc., speech is proclaimed. From the order of such narration, one becomes a speaker of existence and an agent, and becomes a speaker of non-existence and a speaker of non-self. O Bhagavan, the nature of the pure mind is neither existent nor non-existent, neither existent nor non-existent, nor is it the nature of both. The sole teacher of the three realms is not the agent, having attained the omniscient first Buddha, omniscience itself, all-aspects-wisdom itself, path-wisdom itself, and the knowledge of the aspects of the path. The wheel of time revered by the three existences, the undefiled bliss.

The nature of phenomena possessing all aspects, that is, the all-pervading one with the wheel, is not. Why? Because from where even Brahma, the all-pervading one, and the fierce ones Especially take refuge at the lotus at his feet, I prostrate to that wheel of time. Thus spoke Manjushri himself. The one who gives rise to the supreme victor, without qualities and without conceptualization, is the nature previously stated. It is the definitive understanding of the proponent of emptiness. Now, starting with "peaceful" and so on, rebirth is taught by the power of thought at the end of life. In this cycle of existence, sentient beings, by the power of their own karma, have thoughts such as the quality of courage, and from that thought they are born. Here, at the time of death, by the power of virtuous deeds, one transforms into a peaceful thought, which is the nature of the quality of courage. If that thought arises, then at the end of death, one will become a god. The so-called "lord of men" refers to Chandrabhadra. By the power of non-virtue, one transforms into a fierce thought, which is the nature of the quality of darkness. For that thought of darkness, one will become a hell being. By the power of intermediate non-virtue, one has a thought of dust, and if one transforms into that thought of dust, then at the end of death, one will become an animal. The most excellent one on the earth, humans are a mixture of virtue and non-virtue, and if virtue and non-virtue are mixed, one will become a human. The nature of beings is threefold, namely dust, darkness, and courage mixed together. Here, the one with excess courage is a superior preta. The one with excess dust is intermediate. The one with excess darkness is inferior. The Asuras are those who gather among the gods. Similarly, humans with excess courage have happiness. Those with excess dust have happiness and suffering. Those with excess darkness always have suffering. Similarly, in all heavens and so on, sentient beings, by the power of their own karma, the ripening of the fruits of karma is immeasurable. Therefore, whatever thought is remembered in the mind at the time of death, beings will truly be born there, this is the determination of the arising of thought. Now, starting with "god" and so on, the distinctions of gods and so on are taught. Here, the excellent place of the gods, in the heavens, there are eight distinctions of gods.
