The measure is one krosa. There, the assembly of stars revolves, from the location of the assembly of stars to the neck of Mount Sumeru is twenty-five thousand, which is six fingers on the body. Then there are fifty for the face, the face of Mount Sumeru from the neck to the edge of the forehead, which is twelve fingers on the body. Then the firm position, the unwavering topknot is twenty-five thousand. On the body, from the edge of the forehead to the location of the topknot is a measure of six fingers. Beyond that, the only emptiness, free from the three existences, without merit, and that itself is inferior, this refers to the lower wind mandala and the upper topknot, the only emptiness beyond that, which is the nature of each atom, the fifth element is the only emptiness. It is not space, because it is all-pervading, so it should not be understood as the only emptiness. Thus, the extent of the world is four hundred thousand, which is four krosa on the body. One krosa is also the nature of twenty-four fingers. Now here the measure of width is spoken of, from the edge of the wind to the boundary of the wind is four hundred thousand, that is, from the wind to the edge of the wind, from the east to the west between the edges of the wind mandala, and similarly from the south to the north between the edges. The firm base of the earth is continents, mountains, and oceans, this refers to from the center of the wind mandala to the round shape of the fire mandala, and similarly from the center of the fire mandala to the water mandala, and from the center of the water mandala to the earth mandala. That itself is the firm base of the earth, on which there are six continents and six mountains, and six oceans. The seventh is the seven oceans together with the water mandala, the seventh is the seven continents together with Jambudvipa, and the seven mountains together with the Vajra Mountain. Vajra Mountain is the horse-faced fire, the salt water ocean is located at the edge of the water mandala, in the lower and vertical directions. The earth, the great Jambudvipa, is completely occupied by the salt water ocean in all directions and below. From the edge of the salt water ocean to the edge of the salt water ocean is half of four hundred thousand. Half of four is two hundred thousand, that is, from the center of Mount Sumeru to the edge of the wheel of the salt water ocean on the left and right sides is two hundred thousand, that is, one hundred thousand on the right.
