The foundation must be flat and flawless, and it should be placed facing south. Draw lines completely with string. Do not measure with string, as there will be errors of increase and decrease. Be sure to measure with something hard. It is said that make a Katika with straight and hard objects such as wood, and draw forty-two lines on each side. After drawing forty-two lines in this way, starting from the line of the door ring, surround the center of the lotus. To surround the lotus petals, measure an appropriate size from the heavenly cloth. Around the mandala, surround the vajra fence and the fire light, each occupying one part. Divide half a part from the direction of the four horse saddles. On the four large sides, draw a Dharma wheel on one, and a vajra cross fence on the other, with the top of the fence pointing towards the lotus stem. Then, the lama sits in the center of the mandala, visualizing the sun and moon mandalas in his eyes, looking back, and visualizing opening the door with the sound of "He He". Then recite "Vajra Bela" and walk outwards. After the line drawing work is finished, make offerings with the wisdom line, and recite "Sarva Marata Tsipala Arza, Saditada Daga Tsa", and invite the Buddhas to descend. This is the ritual of drawing the wisdom line. The Ritual of Colors Then, place the grains that change color properly in the ritual of colors. Make it without self-nature, and visualize transforming into Bhrum (Tibetan: བྷྲཱུཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: भ्रूं, Sanskrit Romanization: bhrūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Bhrum), Am (Tibetan: ཨཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अं, Sanskrit Romanization: aṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Am), Jram (Tibetan: ཛྲཱཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: ज्रं, Sanskrit Romanization: jraṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Jram), Kham (Tibetan: ཁཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: खं, Sanskrit Romanization: khaṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Kham), Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum). Visualize that after the complete transformation, five colors appear. Then, the yogi uses the iron hook of the burning eyes of the sun and moon to invite the Blood-Drinking Vajra and the retinue of Dakinis to merge into the colors. Recite "Om Vajra Tsitra Samaya Hum (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཙི་ཏྲཱ་ས་མ་ཡ་ཧཱུཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ वज्र चित्र समय हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ vajra citrā samaya hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om, Vajra, Variegated, Samaya, Hum)" many times. Make offerings to the colors. Starting from the northeast corner, draw five lines of black, white, yellow, red, and green of equal height in the order of the lama, and make offerings. Scatter flowers on the lines. Then, when drawing the lines, the lama recites: This is the pure realm of Dharma, which can save the realm of sentient beings. The auspicious Blood-Drinking King is the abode of all Buddhas. Thus. Freed from all sins, the work of colors is perfectly completed. Start with the lama first, and then everyone together.
