is its nature. The four right abandonments refer to what are called the four chariots, which are the antidotes to sins that have not arisen, the cutting off of sins that have arisen, the generation of virtues that have not arisen, and the dedication of virtues that have arisen to Buddhahood, namely, antidotes and cutting off, generation and dedication. What is the antidote to what? It is the antidote to afflictions such as desire. If afflictions are about to arise when they have not yet arisen, then harm has been done, and this is the antidote. When afflictions such as desire have already arisen, one cultivates this because of its decline, therefore it is cutting off. Therefore, after they have declined, these do not exist, so the state of no affliction can arise. What has arisen is the desire to share it with sentient beings, which is dedication. Because the four right abandonments are pure, they are the chariots. Because the four legs of miraculous power are pure, they are the four steps, namely faith, diligence, examination, and mind. Faith means extreme reverence for what is thought of. Likewise, diligence is also the extreme manifestation of desire, and it is uninterrupted. Because of that, continuous examination without interruption is examination. Examination also means examining oneself and others by its very nature. The arising of the mind's own form is the mind's ultimate. Therefore, the ultimate of the mind is to do it as it is. Thus, the purity of the four legs of miraculous power is the four steps. The generation of miraculous power means that the emanation is pure, so it is a pure aspect. The body of spreading and gathering according to one's desire is miraculous power. To make this aspect real is to generate it. Therefore, other than that, there is no entry into the aspect of the vajra of self-nature. The five faculties refer to what are called the four corners and the vajra line, namely the faculty of faith, the faculty of mindfulness, the faculty of diligence, the faculty of samadhi, and the faculty of wisdom.

Oh, and that complete faith is initially expressed with the word 'faith' because it takes proximity as its cause, due to extreme reverence. Entering into the second knowledge of oneself, having completely abandoned turning away from anything else, entering after obtaining between cycles of existence for those with the karma of cyclic existence, therefore it is entering, expressed with the word 'faith.' The third yoga, day and night, the mind merely enters without interruption, saying 'I,' without creating any form, that is expressed with the word 'faculty of mindfulness.' One-pointedness of mind is the fourth, the word 'peak' is the true path. Being one with that is the very one-pointedness of mind, expressed with the word 'samadhi.' It is expressed differently with the word 'urasa.' The meaning of 'vajra lines' is the five lines and the five enclosures, distinguished by the divisions of the five Tathagatas. In the center of that is the palace of the Buddha. The word 'vajra' means equal together with all, and vajra is indivisible. With the word 'faculty of wisdom,' it is made clear that all phenomena do not abide at all. At that time, all are equal, because the Tathagatas have no differences from each other. 'That which is by the nature of the vajra holder' means adorned with vajra lines, that is, one should contemplate the meditation house adorned with these enclosures. The corners, necklaces, and half-necklaces are called powers, namely the power of faith, the power of diligence, the power of mindfulness, the power of samadhi, and the power of wisdom. Complete faith is the initial continuum, and the power that completely fulfills the cause, and the power that actually acts, that makes it complete, therefore it is expressed with the word 'power of faith.' For that reason, the mind is made firm and enters without interruption, therefore it is the power of diligence. Furthermore, since the mind is not even momentarily perceived there, that mindfulness of yoga day and night is the power of mindfulness. How does one-pointedness of mind become? The word 'how it becomes' is the supreme path where all phenomena are not perceived, and that is manifest, that is, non-dual, that is actually expressed with the word 'samadhi.' Similarly

The four powers of purity are the four corners, and the four faculties make them complete, hence the four powers. By the word "complete," it is to complete its meaning afterwards. By the power of wisdom, it is a necklace and half a necklace, and the power is obvious. What is clarified by the faculty of wisdom, that all dharmas are impermanent, is truly complete, and is the real action. By the power of wisdom, the nature of non-discrimination is the meditation of a necklace and half a necklace, and it is declared by this. The eight noble path limbs are well observed as the eight pillars, called not abandoning all actions, which is right view. Called the word of non-deception, it is right speech. Called not departing from the ten virtues, it is right thought. Called the mind without harm to sentient beings, it is right livelihood. Being single-minded in the ten virtues is right livelihood. Called the mind of extreme selflessness, it is right effort. Called effort, it is to cut off existence and non-existence. Knowing the three times in an instant is right mindfulness. The body of the three realms as one is right samadhi, and with these, the pillars are well observed. The seven branches of enlightenment are direction, arrow shaft, umbrella, whisk, banner, bell, and flag, called mindfulness that knows the three times in all times, which is the mindfulness of right enlightenment. Continuously comprehending the great taste is the branch of right enlightenment of accumulating the extremely pure dharma. Called entering the great yoga without interruption, it is the branch of right enlightenment of accumulating diligence. Except for selflessness, there is no joy in others, so the branch of right enlightenment of accumulating joy is well accumulated. Called the perfect union of emptiness and compassion at all times, it is the branch of right enlightenment of accumulating extreme gentleness. Called obtaining the undeluded samadhi, it is the branch of right enlightenment of accumulating samadhi.
