The five are distinguished by the division of the five Tathagatas. In the center is the palace of the Buddha, the sound of the vajra is equal and united with all, and the vajra is indivisible. The sound of the power of wisdom clarifies that all dharmas do not abide. At that time, all are equal, because there is no difference between the Tathagatas. What is called the nature of the Vajradhara means adorned with vajra lines, and one should contemplate the meditation house adorned with these enclosures. The corners, necklaces, and half-necklaces are called powers, namely the power of faith, the power of diligence, the power of mindfulness, the power of samadhi, and the power of wisdom. Complete faith is the initial cause, the power that fills the cause completely, and the actual generation of power, which perfects it, is expressed by the sound of the power of faith. For this reason, constantly making the mind firm and entering is the power of diligence. Furthermore, since the mind is not even slightly perceived there, remembering that yoga day and night is the power of mindfulness. How is it that the mind is in a state of one-pointedness? By the sound of "how it is," the supreme path where all dharmas are not perceived, that which manifests, namely non-duality, is actually expressed by the sound of samadhi. Similarly, the four powers being completely pure are the four corners, completely filled by the four faculties, therefore they are the four powers. By the sound of filling, it is because it subsequently fills the meaning. By the power of wisdom, they are the necklace and half-necklace, and power is expressed manifestly. That which is clarified by the power of wisdom, that all dharmas do not abide, that which is correctly filled, is actually producing the effect. By the power of wisdom, the nature of non-duality is the meditation of the necklace and half-necklace, and it is expressed by that. By the eightfold noble path, the eight pillars are thoroughly examined, and what is called completely beginning without abandoning is right view. What is called non-deceptive speech is right speech.

That which is called "not deviating from the ten virtues" is right thought. That which is called "a mind without harming sentient beings" is right action. Focusing the mind on the ten virtues is right livelihood. That which is called "a mind of utter selflessness" is right effort. Effort is the cutting off of existence and non-existence. Knowing the three times in an instant is right mindfulness. The body that is one with the three worlds is right samadhi. These are the correct examinations of the pillars. The seven branches of enlightenment are: those with directions, arrow shafts, umbrellas, fly whisks, banners, bells, and streamers. The mindfulness that completely knows the three times is the branch of right mindfulness enlightenment. Constantly comprehending the great taste is accumulating the utterly pure Dharma, the branch of right effort enlightenment. Entering without interruption through great yoga is accumulating diligence, the branch of right effort enlightenment. Not delighting in anything other than selflessness, therefore accumulating joy, the branch of right effort enlightenment. The union of emptiness and compassion without separation is accumulating extreme taming, the branch of right effort enlightenment. Obtaining unwavering samadhi is accumulating samadhi, the branch of right effort enlightenment. Spontaneously entering into samadhi is accumulating equanimity, the branch of right effort enlightenment. One should contemplate the statements about those with directions, etc., in these seven branches of enlightenment. By the ultimate contemplation of the palace of the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, the first manifestation of enlightenment, such as emptiness, is omniscience. Generating the Mandala of the Cause. Now, I will speak of the generation of the Vajradhara of the Cause. In the palace, one should see the four maras pressing down on the sun with various lotuses. The Hevajra, Brahma, Vishnu, Maheshvara, and the King of the Gods are the aggregates, etc.

The Lord of Death, afflictions, and the son of the gods, followed by perfection, are the four Maras who afflict the aggregates. Then, upon it, observe the solar disc, and upon it, double the vowels such as the letter I. Observe it in forward and reverse order, and from that complete transformation, meditate on the lunar disc. Making the thirty-two major marks of a great being clear is the mirror-like wisdom. Giving the six letters Ḍa, Ḍha, Da, Ḍha, Ya, La, double the letters such as Ka, and observe them in forward and reverse order. From that complete transformation, observe the solar disc, making the eighty minor marks clear, which is the nature of the wisdom of equality. Above these, observe the two seed syllables Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,hūṃ,हुं,seed syllable) and Oṃ (ཨོཾ,oṃ,ओं,seed syllable), and from that, observe the skull-cup curved knife that arises, marked by the two seed syllables, which is the wisdom of individual discrimination. Radiating light from the seed syllables, illuminating all the limitless realms of the world, taking them back and entering into it, meditate on everything becoming one, which is the wisdom of accomplishing activities. All of that completely transforms, and in an instant, one's own body becomes the form of glorious Heruka, extremely pure, which is the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu. It has five aspects: just as mirror-like wisdom sees forms, so too does the wisdom of equality become of one taste. Individual discriminating wisdom is individual discrimination, and likewise, the wisdom of accomplishing activities makes all activities into one. The extremely pure wisdom of the Dharmadhatu is the unified body together with all aspects. This is the five aspects of manifest enlightenment. Then, contemplate the body of the three realms, and then, at the gates such as the east, in order, are Brahma and the lords, the near lords, and the fierce ones. Similarly, in the directions such as the powerful ones, are Yama and the guide of wealth, the Rakshasa, and the weavers. Thus, contemplate the eight seats, and upon them, in the center where the sun and moon are joined, are Gaṃ, Caṃ, Baṃ, Khaṃ, Vaṃ, Śaṃ, Laṃ.
