Thus, when concluding after explaining the nature of union, it is said, "Therefore, pervading all desires, through the combination of substances and mantras." Pervading desires refers to the individual who is the basis. Substances are medicines. Mantras are meditation and recitation. Combination is the wheel, one should prevent the mind of enlightenment from being separated from joy. So, what is the difference between these three unions that are spoken of? The first is through the method of self-blessing, like seeing the sky from a window, simultaneously seeing the emptiness of object and subject. The second is like a lion cub, in grasping, it is blessed by Vairochana, and in the grasper, it is blessed by Akshobhya. After knowing the emptiness of mind, it is blessed by Vajrasattva, and then gradually meditated upon. The third is blessed by the bliss and emptiness of the object's action mudra, like a waxing moon, making the great bliss that relies on contaminated things manifest. Therefore, the wise should always abide in the combination of skillful means and wisdom of the nine stages, and meditate on the inconceivable state of the unity of the three realms' nature. Why is it called inconceivable? Because it is said, "The self-nature of meaning is one, self is manifest," therefore it is said, "Manifest arises as the image of meaning, it is called blessing." This is the commentary on the second section of the second chapter. Showing the generation stage. The third section of the second chapter, showing the meditation on many Herukas. Having thus shown the supreme and profound path of the completion stage, now, in order to explain the generation stage of meditation for beginners, therefore it is said, "After that, it should be well explained." What is to be explained? It is said, "The yogi of all wheels," meaning that one should meditate on the unsurpassed yoga, which is the play of the nine stages, such as Vajrasattva and other deities. So, what is the meaning of this? It has the limbs of practice, as well as the place and method of practice, the common method of practice, and the special method of practice. Among them, the secret of the limbs lies in the supreme place of joy, which is the pleasing activity.

Because it possesses the mudrā, one should accomplish the nature of all protectors. In that, it refers to a solitary place or a pleasing forest, etc. Moreover, as stated in the *Samputatantra*: "The mudrā of great bliss, each goddess becomes self-accomplished." Thus it is taught. "The methods are all gathered together." This means that because it shows the nature of the causal continuum of the individual who is the basis, "the mudrā of all kinds" refers to the four mudrās. "Of all kinds" refers to the individual consciousness and the mind of consciousness. "How is it accomplished by bliss?" This means that one should meditate by sealing with emptiness and a mind that is not attached to the five desirable qualities. Having explained the method in this way, the explanation of the common practice is: "Arising from the wisdom of emptiness." Having said this, the maṇḍala of all the Tathāgatas arising from the wisdom of emptiness, the faith of sentient beings is either peaceful, increasing, powerful, or appears as an angry form, or the inconceivable transformations of the Buddha, which I have shown to limitless sentient beings, how can it be expressed? It cannot. Moreover, in the context of taming with skillful means and wisdom, all the faith in the deity's form, such as visualizing the deity and reciting mantras, and thangkas, etc., what is the use of the mind's faith? It is for the benefit of sentient beings, and by combining it with the faith of the disciples to be tamed, it is the teaching of the object to be expressed in the nine gradual stages. Why do such maṇḍalas appear to be different? "The Vajradhara of emptiness is one." Having said this, although the Dharmakāya is one in ultimate truth, the five families, etc., are taught based on the faith of those to be tamed. Having shown the common practice in this way, in order to show the specific practice, it is Vajrasattva who asked. What is it? "By what does the practitioner accomplish?" This refers to the causal continuum. "Shape, color, hands, etc." This refers to one face and two hands, four faces and four hands, three faces and six hands, etc. "The ritual of reciting mantras" refers to the distinctions of the recitations of the deities. "The rituals of the generation stage" refers to the preliminary yoga and the main yoga and
