It is a false imputation. Because there is no substantial thing apart from the mind to be grasped, and because it does not exist, there is no grasping whatsoever. Even for the single mind, it is unreasonable to have two natures. "By mind" means by the discriminator. "Having spoken" means because the discrimination itself has the form of inner speech. If so, would mind-only become existent? No, because it is also included within all phenomena, therefore it is to prove its selflessness. How are all phenomena selfless? Because they are unborn. Therefore, it is luminous because it is free from all the darkness imputed by self-nature. Why? Because self-nature is originally unborn. There is nothing that is born first and then destroyed later. Therefore, just as other phenomena such as illusions are unborn from the beginning, so they are empty of self-nature in the ultimate sense, so is the mind. Because the reasoning is the same. Here too, it is in terms of the present. Because the past and future are also generally said to be emptiness. This is merely showing the three doors of liberation samadhi such as emptiness. After that, one should contemplate the nature of the three letters, namely one's own body, speech, and mind, as being inseparable from emptiness like an image, by the reasoning of "on what action" etc. And manifest the meaning of the mantra ཨོཾ་ཤཱུ་ནྱ་ཏཱ་ཛྙཱ་ན་བཛྲ་སྭ་བྷཱ་བ་ཨཱཏྨ་ཀོ྅ཧཾ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: , Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ śūnyatājñānabajrasvabhāva ātmako'haṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om, emptiness wisdom vajra nature self I). The self-nature, cause, and effect of all phenomena are devoid, that is emptiness. The wisdom of emptiness is emptiness wisdom, meaning that emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness are the same taste of mind. That alone is vajra, because self-nature is emptiness, so it is not broken by incompatible aspects, and because it can break incompatible aspects, and because it has no beginning and end. Its self-nature is the nature just spoken of, or rather, that alone is self-nature, that is, what one has oneself. Therefore, the mind that is completely purified by the self-nature of the body of the Tathagatagarbha, from being free from adventitious obscurations, abides in its own nature.

That is its meaning. Because of that very reason, because of the very nature of being primordially pure, that whose nature it is, that which is its own essence, that is I. It is just that essence that is I. Therefore, this bodhicitta especially cherishes being characterized by the sound of emptiness and wisdom, and being ultimately pure by the sound of vajra, and not being something extra even at the time of ultimate purity by the sound of nature, and by the sounds of self and I, its nature is primordially pure. Just as the dharmadhatu has no beginning or end, so too does the bodhicitta, because it is focused on suchness, because it is the very embodiment of the essence of suchness. The syllable Om also, with the syllables A, U, and Ma being of one taste, establishes the self as the essence of body, speech, and mind. Thus, this mantra has the meaning of bodhicitta, which is the essence of emptiness, such as the body, and is inseparable from compassion. Alternatively, this Om (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:Om) is the vajra of the body. This, "the nature of emptiness-wisdom vajra" (藏文:སྟོང་ཉིད་ཡེ་ཤེས་རྡོ་རྗེའི་རང་བཞིན་,梵文天城体:शून्यताज्ञानवज्रस्वभाव,梵文罗马拟音:śūnyatājñānavajrasvabhāva,汉语字面意思:the nature of emptiness-wisdom vajra) is the vajra of the mind. This, "I" (藏文:ང,梵文天城体:अहम्,梵文罗马拟音:aham,汉语字面意思:I) is the vajra of speech, because the self is not permanent, it is merely speech. Thus, with these three words, the mantra of the nature of the three families is spoken. Alternatively, because things are unborn from the very beginning, and because they are devoid of permanence, and because they are like illusions, if the first letter of the words such as unborn becomes a quality and a subsequent sound, then Om (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:Om) is accomplished, and thereby the mirror-like wisdom is spoken. "Emptiness" (藏文:སྟོང་ཉིད་,梵文天城体:शून्यता,梵文罗马拟音:śūnyatā,汉语字面意思:Emptiness) is the wisdom of equality. "Wisdom" (藏文:ཡེ་ཤེས་,梵文天城体:ज्ञान,梵文罗马拟音:jñāna,汉语字面意思:Wisdom) is the discriminating wisdom. "Vajra" (藏文:རྡོ་རྗེ་,梵文天城体:वज्र,梵文罗马拟音:vajra,汉语字面意思:Vajra) is the wisdom of accomplishing activities because of the stability of elaboration. "Nature" (藏文:རང་བཞིན་,梵文天城体:स्वभाव,梵文罗马拟音:svabhāva,汉语字面意思:Nature) is the wisdom of being utterly pure because the nature of things is without all defilements. "I" (藏文:ང,梵文天城体:अहम्,梵文罗马拟音:aham,汉语字面意思:I) certainly shows the self as the essence of the great Vajradhara, the nature of the five wisdoms. Thus, the meaning of the mantra is explained as the nature of the five families. These three explanations were also revealed by the Bhagavan himself in the tantras, and here they have been made clear. Thus
