Thus, the perfections of time, place, and teacher were spoken. The perfection of the retinue was spoken: "Then, the Bhagavan was in the midst of eighty kotis of yogic masters." Yoga is the equal union of skillful means and wisdom. Among them, "master" is one who has obtained power; because of having obtained power, they are the yogic masters, that is, the great bodhisattvas who are masters of the ten bhumis. By indicating multiplicity, it is shown first in order to definitely grasp the Vajra Essence from among those of the same kind. But these retinues are not just these alone, because they are infinite. What will be spoken at the end is: "Then, yogis and yoginis, dakas and dakinis, and eighty kotis of bodhisattvas and various kinds of Tathagata assemblies, that is, retinues endowed with all." The Bhagavan, knowing the minds of others, understood that the retinues had the fortune to hear the correct union and were able to request the Vajra Essence. Seeing that there was no one to request without being urged, he thought to urge them. Therefore, to clarify that "the meaning of this king of tantras is the sphere of activity for sentient beings who understand only by mentioning the beginning," he smiled. Vajra Essence, understanding his intention simply by understanding the beginning, then began to request, which shows this. Immediately after acting, there was no interruption. From the seat, that is, from the mandala of the moon. "On the ground" means not on the seat. This is also to teach future ones how to request. The request was spoken, that is, "to listen," and so on. As for "lord of wisdom," wisdom is the perfection of having abandoned all defilements, including habitual tendencies, and all obscurations of knowledge, and the perfection of realizing the enlightenment of all aspects of all dharmas. Among them, "lord" is the one who has supremely obtained power. Or, the one who has obtained the supreme power is the lord because he is the crest jewel of the assembly of teachers such as lions, plunderers, and treasure troves. Or, the nature of wisdom like a mirror, etc.

Therefore, wisdom is the five Tathagatas, such as Vairochana, and they are the masters and owners, because they are the creators. Therefore, the unique teacher for people like me is you alone, and this thought is to call the prayer-maker the Lord of Wisdom. "Ema, Vajra Heart, ask" is a complete translation of the word meaning to ask. "Ema, Great Bodhisattva" should also be connected. The beginning mentions that because of understanding itself, listeners such as Vajra Heart are worthy of listening and in accordance with listening to the Dharma, because they are the realm of wonder. So "Ema" is used to express amazement and call out. Vajra Heart refers to placing Vajra emptiness wisdom in the heart. Having thus proclaimed the perfection of wisdom, the perfection of compassion is proclaimed. "Great compassion, good, good" means that because great compassion is very good, it is said "good, good." We here are not qualified to hear the profound Dharma, and therefore doubt that the Blessed One has not summoned us, in order to dispel the discouragement of the Shravaka listeners, so "Great" is called, meaning that the Bodhisattva's mind is far greater than the Bodhi mind of the Shravakas and others, and these thoughts refer to the Great Bodhisattvas. Qualities refer to strength and fearlessness, etc., and their source is the support. These two sentences proclaim the nature of wisdom and compassion of these. Thus, through the clear manifestation of wisdom and means, it is also clearly shown that you are also qualified to hear this Dharma. It is also shown that only in this way are others also qualified to hear this Dharma. "For all tantras" means that because the great secrets that exist in them will also be proclaimed here without hesitation. Because many great secrets are to be proclaimed, it is said "all these." Because one is qualified to hear the unsurpassed Dharma, it is praised. "Very joyful" etc., means only very joyful and without arrogance.

In order to personally accomplish, prostrations are repeatedly made. "What" refers to what is to be expressed. "How" is asking about the manner of measurement. "What" refers to the commonality of all dharmas; what is its own nature? It is not the object of all, therefore it is the great secret. Furthermore, "born from true union" refers to the omission of the initial word "one." "How" is asking about the entities of cause and effect. Regarding that, how and what will become the characteristic of accomplishing from that which arises from true union? "Everything is it, and so are the tantras," tantra is the three continuities. As it is also said in the later Compendium: "Tantra is said to be continuity, that continuity changes into three: basis, nature, and the distinction of non-robbery." Regarding the expanded explanation of the words briefly indicated in the sutra: "Nature is the cause, likewise, non-robbery is the result, basis is the method, the three summarize the meaning of tantra." Thus. The nature of emptiness of things, namely nature and aspect, is not another meaning, but the meaning of self-nature. That is the cause, namely the agent of the proximate cause, the vajra-holder of the cause. That which is not stained by the beginningless habitual stains of these, the Buddha established by nature, only that which has the characteristic of obtaining stainlessness, is the meaning of the cause of Buddhahood. If these were not luminous by nature, even if washed like coal, they would not become stainless. Regarding this, the noble Maitreya said: "Although there is no difference in all, suchness is purified, therefore the Tathagata, all beings possess that essence." Thus. From that cause, being separated from adventitious stains, from that, the fruit of the characteristic of obtaining freedom from stains, the vajra-holder of the fruit, that is to be called non-robbery, because it is not robbed by the habitual stains. Robbery is complete robbery, namely decreasing or collecting. The method of obtaining stainlessness, namely the arising of co-emergent auxiliary conditions.
