For these who have passed away, it is for the sake of rebirth. The one with all perfect qualities is the Bhagavan (the Blessed One). "Truly symbolize" it is said, in the year of the Monkey (sprel lo). What is said refers to beings bound by afflictions such as delusion, and so on. What is symbolized here is the wisdom of pristine awareness. "Truly" means when can one symbolize the state of emptiness and compassion being inseparable? Only emptiness can destroy all afflictions. Without it, if one cultivates wisdom and pristine awareness with an afflicted mind, it is merely a cause for samsara, and even a cause for falling into lower realms. Therefore, from abandoning the afflicted mind arises the pure mind, which is pure wisdom and pristine awareness. How does it arise? By skillfully combining wisdom and means, which is realizing emptiness and compassion as inseparable. Because, for wisdom outside of conventionality, just as one obtains it by relying on it as it is, one realizes great bliss by practicing it as it is, and only through that does one become purified from the pacification of all elaborations. Truth, which is the nature of emptiness, is the ultimate truth; and the nature of experience is the conventional truth. Because it is symbolized by this, it is a characteristic, which is the cause of the cause. If it is not cultivated and meditated upon just once, but gradually transformed, until reaching the ultimate extreme, it will transform into the aspect of wisdom and means, thereby abandoning the two obscurations along with their habitual tendencies, manifesting the nature of emptiness and great bliss, and pure, stainless compassion. In the ultimate truth, it is like space, transcending all elaborations such as existence and non-existence; in the conventional truth, one sees the three realms, as previously stated. That is what is symbolized, and only by meditating intensely with characteristics does it become what is to be symbolized. Even at the time of symbolizing, one has even greater faith. However, symbolizing is difficult, and only those who are diligent in the guru's instructions can truly symbolize. Universally complete, because even in various appearances, each appears separately as the nature of great bliss. The cause is the immediate cause, which is the collection of wisdom; the condition is the co-emergent cause, which is the union with wisdom.

Etc. are collections of merit. Those arising from complete perfection depend on cause and condition. Elaborating on various and immeasurable bodies, etc., they accomplish the benefit of the world according to their respective capacities. The most supreme of all worldly and transcendental accomplishments is the supreme accomplishment, the nature of the great seal accomplishment, the self-nature of Vajradhara. The basis of all tantras, the great secret, is Vajradhara, from which truth is attained, and should be connected in this way. Glorious is the Bhagavan, because he possesses the unsurpassed perfection of self and other benefit. Arising from true union is also, and that alone, even without conceptualization, through the power of one's own aspirations and the merit of sentient beings, accomplishes the benefit of sentient beings like a wish-fulfilling jewel. Sentient beings, each according to their own inclinations, should examine it in this way, which is examination. Thus it is also said in the Great Bliss Vajra Secret Examination King: From the samadhi of non-conceptualization: Because it completely accomplishes the meaning of sentient beings, therefore it is truly explained as examination, when it completely purifies conceptualization. Thus it is said. The samadhi of non-conceptualization is the Bhagavan. In the Summary of Reality it is also said: The non-conceptualization of the Buddhas is the constant wisdom, from the wisdom of non-conceptualization, for the sake of conceptualization, it should be constantly proclaimed. Thus, also because it ripens sentient beings and is completely clear, it is the King. The collection of treatises that understand it is the Examination King arising from the Glorious True Union. This is a supreme explanation in relation to other tantras, because it clarifies the unique and incomparable method. The first is in relation to other examinations, because it is the very first explanation. Perfection is the meaning of truly grasping. The extensive commentary on the Glorious True Union Tantra, the fourth spike of the Ear of Instructions. // The fifth spike, the separate explanation of the empowerment of the two stages. These, the Completion Stage and the Generation Stage, are not possible without empowerment, and that also without a mandala.
