Oh! Those sentient beings with such knowledge, such as gods, are foolish and do not understand the truth. Because of ignorance itself, they cling to what is not true, and think with evil thoughts such as desire, so they are also fools. Because they are pervaded by it, and their bodies commit evil deeds, they are also covered. Because they cannot speak the truth of the real meaning, they are also mute. Therefore, they are children. Those who think evil thoughts, do evil deeds, and speak evil words are called children. Such is the knowledge of these children. The remedy for this is to separately abandon the various aspects of existence, non-existence, both, and neither, which appear separately in the three realms. And that distinction of reality, selflessness, is to clearly reveal the inseparability of wisdom and means, and to subdue the enemy of afflictions and protect from the fear of evil destinies, so it comes from the treatises. Because it gathers the three tantras and clearly illuminates the meaning of the essence of completion, it is superior to other tantras, so it comes from the excellent, that is, from this glorious tantra of perfect union, it should be understood. From this, the great nature of this tantra is also clearly revealed, and it is said, "Birth," and so on. From the time of the Blessed One Dipamkara Buddha until countless eons in this Buddha-field, the essence of all the tantras has been taught only by these precious tantra classes, and not by other fully enlightened Buddhas. Therefore, what I have taught here is inspired by non-dual wisdom. O you who desire liberation, only by mastering this yoga treatise can one become very intelligent and knowledgeable. As for the teachings that speak of the earth-mother and so on, which turn away from the supreme reality, and the establishment of names such as tantras, that is another matter. Those are merely new arrangements of words on the ground of a dance place, and because they contradict reason, those who have faith in them are made to become attached merely through satisfaction, so they are similar and shallow. Therefore, only from this can one understand the self-nature of all dharmas.
