Namo. Or, in order to become completely familiar, one should cultivate the mind of enlightenment, which is the object of meditation, completely surrounded by the aspects of the factors of enlightenment. Therefore, those things that are done at times, such as "from then on." "From then on" refers to immediately after the instruction of the path. Enlightenment is the state of omniscience, and its aspects are those that are in accordance with it. Only the aspects of enlightenment are the aspects of enlightenment. In this regard, with what contemplations should one not cling to the body, feelings, mind, and phenomena as being one or many, etc.? Therefore, establishing mindfulness with the wisdom of selflessness, those are the cause of mindfulness, the nature of wisdom, which are the mindfulnesses. From the distinction of objects, there are four: mindfulness of the body, mindfulness of feelings, mindfulness of the mind, and mindfulness of phenomena. Among these, the inner body is the five senses, such as the eye. The outer body is the five objects, such as form, that are external to one's own body. The inner and outer body are the remaining elements that belong to one's own body, such as the four elements and what is transformed from the four elements. The three aspects of feelings, etc., are due to the difference in the objects of the three forms of the body. Feelings are pleasure, pain, and neither pleasure nor pain. The mind is the consciousness of the five senses. Phenomena are the virtuous, non-virtuous, and neutral things that arise from the mind. The so-called contemplation of the body, etc., is the contemplation of the nature of the body, etc. This is because one does not discriminate "this is the body," "this is my body," "it is permanent," "it is impermanent," "it is happiness," "it is suffering," and so on. Contemplation and non-discrimination are also through the yoga of non-objectification. Now, if the mindfulnesses know all phenomena, then what do the later factors of enlightenment do? It is not like that, because even if they completely know the nature of phenomena, they also cultivate the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment in order to fully know the distinctions of phenomena through the aspects of impermanence, etc. Therefore, the Hearer's Vehicle

Those are the ones who focus on impermanence and other aspects as their objects, while Bodhisattvas do so in a non-apprehending manner. Therefore, by saying that impermanence and other aspects, as well as emptiness, also become the objects of these, the path of the Hearers is also familiarized through the aspect of Dharma-nature. The word "also" gathers the absence of suffering. Therefore, because of respectfully and constantly practicing, it is without suffering. Because of following observation and also practicing with mindfulness, it is with mindfulness. Because of the nature of not forgetting and being without protection, and because of arising without distraction, it is endowed with mindfulness because of practicing with mindfulness. Only these, diligence, wisdom, and mindfulness, are praised, saying "eliminating" etc. "Eliminating" means completely abandoning. Regarding the world, it refers to being greedy for worldly things like gain, fame, happiness, and praise, which is attachment, and being displeased with not gaining, being unknown, suffering, and being blamed. With these, the mind or body, speech, and mind are properly established, which means properly holding or completely entering, saying properly establishing etc., and with these, the latent tendencies are completely abandoned, saying properly abandoning etc. Those are the four aspects of diligence above the mindfulness of Dharma, that is, like this, those not yet born etc., which means falling into evil destinies, and being harmed by various causes, and creating similar actions or habits of karma, saying sins etc., with the characteristic of definitive words. Non-virtue refers to the inverted nature of misconduct of the body etc., which are all afflictions, and should be abandoned by those who desire liberation, but because of holding their own characteristics, they are dharmas. Generate desire, which means to do the armor-like diligence like this. Strive, which means the diligence of application. Initiate diligence, which means the diligence without discouragement. Completely hold the mind and properly establish it, which means the diligence of means.
