The great splendor is the appearance of all dharmas, the unity of wisdom and knowledge, and the inseparability of emptiness and compassion. Similarly, "possessing light" refers to the Sambhogakaya, the nature of loving-kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity is the essence of the four dhyanas. Or it is the essence of the four appearances, namely appearance, increasing appearance, attainment of appearance, and clear light. This is the meaning of the four rays. "Twelve limits and nine limits, from the foot to the crown." This refers to the nature of the five wisdoms previously mentioned, which is the breath, and it should be understood that it thoroughly moves with the nature of the five mandalas. Here, the left and right nostrils, with the distinction of expanding and contracting, will cause five mandalas each to move, making a total of ten. The left is space and so on, and similarly the right is earth and so on. Thus, the sequence of the movement of the ten mandalas is called the life-force wind, which is the meaning of being the essence of the five wisdoms. Similarly, in the Uttaratantra, the Bhagavan said: "The breath, the nature of wisdom speech, is the size of a mustard seed, constantly meditate with yogic knowledge intently on the tip of the nose." This will be explained in the commentary. Similarly, here, "twelve limits" means that in the combination of exhaling and inhaling, the outgoing breath reaches a length of twelve fingers. "Nine limits" means that the breath decreases by three fingers from the path of inhalation. "From the foot to the crown" means that from the crown of the head to the thumb, in the manner of the guru's oral instructions, like the shape of a bow, it is said to be half-bent, therefore it pervades from stability. Therefore, it is called obstruction. Or, the end from the throat to the junction of the forehead and the head is the outside. The breath moves to that extent internally, so it is the limit of twelve. Again, from the center of the eyebrows to the end of the throat, this is the limit of nine. Similarly, in the secret place, the navel chakra, and the heart chakra, with the reasoning previously mentioned, the yogi who delights in the path of yoga determines the time by periods.

Is there a difference? Or, in order to become accustomed without interruption, one should closely symbolize the edge of twelve and the edge of nine. Therefore, as it is said, it should be called as such. The differences in the practice of these wheels have been explained. 'One strand truly arises,' etc., 'Endowed with the measure of five parts,' this refers to the previously mentioned 'Hai-pad U.' However, 'The Dragon King greatly increases,' like the appearance of coiling in the hole behind the navel, is the nature of four and a half circles, one strand of which truly arises and reaches the edge of the crown of the head. That is also called Tummo. Why? 'In the navel, Tummo burns, the five Tathagatas are burned, the eye-mothers, etc., are also burned, because of burning, the rabbit-holder Haṃ (ཧཾ,हं,haṃ,哈ṃ) descends.' Thus spoke the Bhagavan. 'That part also arises from half, it definitely arises in the center of the Vajra.' This means: the one strand that arises from the Dragon King embraces the indestructible Vajrasattva, becomes one taste, and like a full vase, descends a stream of nectar. Therefore it comes again, why? It goes to the gate of Jalandhara, and also comes to the gate of Oddiyana. Therefore, it becomes inseparable and merges into one. 'In the center of the Vajra' means that in the center of the Avadhuti, because two channels arise, the nature of wisdom and means, are two emptinesses. Thus, there are two descents above and below the Avadhuti. Therefore, it is called Vajra, why? The mind-vajra goes to that Vajra, and also comes from that Vajra. Thus, it definitely arises in the center, and after destruction, self-awareness arises again due to great compassion. Because of the bliss of the Great Seal, it is called the Samaya Seal, which is the meaning of the distinction of the Sambhogakaya. Just as at the time of the assembly of all Buddhas, all dharmas also assemble. This Samaya and Dharma, entering into the equal hand seal, is the Samaya Seal. Obtaining the ultimate Mahamudra of these is called Vajrasattva. Here it is said, 'The Vajra is indivisible,' the three realms one.
