Because it is the nature of boundless wisdom. The hero means that he will not be defeated by external attacks. Giving milk to the selfless mother, bestowing the vajra skull, caressing the breasts of the goddess, correctly dividing the mandala. Giving milk to the selfless mother is joy, bestowing the vajra skull is supreme joy, caressing the breasts is special joy, because beauty is the goddess, it is innate joy. The mandala of the nature of such four joys is correctly divided, that is, definitely, brightly, and clearly established. How the wheel is as previously said, decorated with nets and half nets, four gates in the four directions, correctly decorated with vajra beams, followed by great attachment, from the nature of innate joy, you and together have a beautiful face. There, the center now exists. How the wheel is as previously said. This is what is said in the third chapter of the successively divided. First practice loving-kindness, etc., is to practice the four Brahmaviharas. After that, first is the emptiness of bodhicitta, etc., the fourth is to establish the letter, what is said up to this point. Let the sun be practiced first from raṃ (Tibetan: རཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: रं, Sanskrit Romanization: raṃ, Chinese literal meaning: raṃ), etc., and binding with fences and tents is also practiced in this way, what is said up to this point. After putting all those in the heart, after that, from what is said in the eighth chapter of the successively divided, contemplate bhaga (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) in the space realm, etc., to how the practitioner arises, what is said up to this point. All of those, in that center should be contemplated, that is, to regard the eight-petaled lotus as one order, after the complete transformation from ali kali, the moon and the sun in it are the seed. That one becomes, with diligent wisdom, to the complete sambhogakaya, the extremely pure dharmadhatu wisdom, all is revealed. There, the center is the mudra I, that is, I myself am the mudra, the mudra is the mahamudra. With you means with the nature of union yoga, that's what is meant. That itself said, followed by great attachment, is because of the nature of special joy.

From the nature of co-emergent joy, it refers to the nature of the complete body for the sake of the wisdom of diligent action. The eight-faced one has four feet, adorned with sixteen hands. Equally subduing the four maras, it also makes the fearful ones afraid. It wears a garland of heads as a necklace, resides in the sun, and is accompanied by music. The color is black, and it is terrifying. The crown is marked with various vajras. It is said that the wisdom mandala and the samaya mandala are the same. Previously, it was said, "Sixteen hands and eight faces," etc. That is the nature of the wisdom mandala, the body called Wrathful Vajra. Now, again, with "eight faces," etc., it shows that it is inseparable from the samaya mandala, and the nature of both mandalas is Vajradhara. The eight faces refer to two groups of four. The four feet refer to each one individually. The sixteen hands are adorned because each group of four has four natures. Subduing the four maras refers to oneness. "Also making the fearful ones afraid" means abandoning all attachments. "Wearing a garland of heads as a necklace" means that the two streams of Ali Kali are inseparable. "Residing in the sun and accompanied by music" means that the nature of expansion and contraction is wisdom. "Various vajras marked on the crown" refers to the nature of expansion and contraction. The color black refers to the nature of contraction. The terrifying one is considered to be the nature of the two inseparable ones. This shows that the samaya mandala and the wisdom mandala are inseparable, therefore the nature of Wrathful Vajra is the eight-faced one. To clarify this, from his mouth emanates (ཧཱུྃ, hūṃ, hum, 吽), and the body is smeared with ashes. Unborn is united with co-emergent, merging into double bliss, attaining waveless bliss, possessing a nature without pride. That is to say, therefore, the letter (ཧཱུྃ, hūṃ, hum, 吽) should emanate from the mouth of the Bhagavan of the eight-faced nature. What is so special about it? The body is smeared with ashes.
