So. How should one observe its instant? This is asked in order to make it very clear. The words "first" and so on, these five are all meanings of non-existence. First and last are the supreme and distinct as they are in order. Existence and nirvana are also those themselves. Attachment and detachment are also these themselves. In relation to co-emergent, because it is the very first, it is the first. Because it is the very last, it is the last. That itself is said to arise from this, and because it itself is cessation, it becomes called nirvana. Because it focuses on the arising of co-emergent joy, it is attachment; because it does not focus on the co-emergent joy that has just ceased, it is detachment. Because it is inferior to those, the very first joy is the middle way, and appearance is said to be middling, like saying a middling body or a middling merchant. Whatever it is, it does not become any of those three. The very first of the special, the end of supreme joy, means that what has just passed is thoroughly clarified. This is called great bliss, which means that this is the very supreme of great bliss, which is the meaning of co-emergent joy. Like that, in order to explain the certainty of the instant, it is said, "No self, and no other." It means that for such a thing, the one that appears as the grasper and the other, and the one that appears as the grasped self, those do not exist, only pure supreme bliss, non-dual and without object, thoroughly clarified in an infinite state, that itself is natural joy. Thus, it is said in the chapter of the Collection: "A little joy is bliss, supreme joy increases beyond that, special joy turns into detachment, the remainder is co-emergent joy. First desiring touch, second desiring bliss, third bliss vanishes, therefore the fourth should be cultivated. Supreme joy is called desire, nirvana is joylessness, the middle way is joy itself, co-emergent joy abandons those." So it is said. In the chapter of empowerment for disciples, it is said: "No attachment, nor detachment, nor object in the middle way, the three are only because of separation.

Da. "Self-nature is also speech, enlightenment is proclaimed." Thus it is said. Or, everything is self. Or, everything is completely abandoned. "Especially the first is the best to do. The three joys are abandoned." Thus it is said. That which is to be meditated upon in this way is also the fourth. In the chapter on empowerment for disciples, it is also said: "The first is just joy itself. Supreme joy is the second number. The third is said to be special joy. The fourth is called coemergent." Thus, special joy is shown as the third, but how is it said that self-nature is the fourth? Answer: From the count of the three joys to be abandoned, from there the count of the coemergent joy to be taken is explained. But here, it is not explained in the order of arising, so there is no fault here. If again, "There is no self, and there is no other." This is said to be the self-nature of reality itself, and if it should arise, why is it not like that even when the self-nature is shown? Therefore, it is said: "One's own right hand and the other." And so on, that is, the enjoyment is the complete practice. "To be squeezed" means the tip of the nose, like the two thighs, quickly squeezing, meaning to discard twice. Or there are two stages: one is the external consort, and the second is through thought. The first is very famous. The second is said: "One's own right hand and the other." And so on, that is, pressing with the two, that is, making the door of the lotus with them. The rest is as before. The wisdom born from that is called coemergent. However, at first it is not manifested by mere instructions, like the pleasure of a young girl. Thus it is said. For example, the pleasure of a young girl, although it has been shown by a friend, that pleasure itself has not arisen. Why? Because it arises at the time of enjoyment. Whoever has realized the coemergent cannot clearly express it. Wanting to say this, it is said: "A little bit also." And so on, where "there" means at that time. Like the dream of a mute. For example, a mute sees a dream clearly, but cannot clearly express it. Lama
