When the habitual tendencies of all the defilements and associated dharmas accumulated on consciousness are completely exhausted, and the various forms of consciousness that appear as places, bodies, and enjoyments cease, all of these abandon the nature of the ālaya-vijñāna and fully grasp the nature of the uncontaminated realm of reality. This very uncontaminated realm of reality is the dharmakāya of the Buddhas. When it is attained, one obtains the sambhogakāya and nirmāṇakāya by relying on it in this way. This is the established tenet. According to this established tenet, the Prajñāpāramitā itself should be cultivated as the cause of Buddhahood, that is, by distinguishing between the two meanings, it truly becomes the wisdom of non-substantiality, because it is certain that the two do not exist. The false appearances produced by the two vanish, and only the infinite clarity appears. Thus, if someone thinks that meditating on mantras, signs, cushions, palaces, and so on, which have the forms of Heruka and Yoginis, is elaborate and inverted, because it causes the cycle of defilements to arise, and is not the cause of liberation, then, in order to clarify this, it is said: liberation is achieved by reality itself. Here, "reality" means to abide extremely and to fully attain all the Buddha's teachings. One who possesses great compassion is liberated by the six pāramitās themselves, and therefore it is called great compassion. Liberation by the Prajñāpāramitā alone quickly abandons defilements and becomes an Arhat. Therefore, one goes more towards the Śrāvaka's Bodhi, but not towards the Buddha's Bodhi. A Bodhisattva who possesses great compassion accomplishes the supreme benefit of sentient beings and generates aspiration for unsurpassed Bodhi, not for inferior states. This is also liberated by the six pāramitās themselves, not by one alone. If liberation is achieved by the six themselves, then what is the use of the five at that time? What does the sixth do? When thinking like this, the Buddha said: the bondage of reality, and so on. Here, the five pāramitās are taught by the word "reality", because these are the main ones for abiding and attaining.
