It is thought that it is difficult even to hear for beings such as humans, let alone experience it. His bliss, which he enjoys himself, is the bliss of great liberation, which is without appearance, infinite, unsurpassed, without outflows, and without destruction. "Himself" is like direct perception. From what? He believes in the nature of worldly bliss as it is experienced. In this way, through the means of belief, he makes it possess an object of focus. By preventing it from wandering and expanding to other objects of focus, he makes the mind subtle and unwavering. In this way, by practicing continuously, effort and spontaneous accomplishment will also arise. This is his meditation. The meditator said, "Called death," and so on. After meditating on great bliss for a long time, by what, meaning by what state, will one die here? "That" refers to his state, which is said to be great bliss in meditation, that is, when meditation is complete. Here, what is the meaning of death? Here, because there is no experience of other internal and external objects of focus other than great bliss, it is death. Even in one session, two sessions, or many sessions, even in days, months, or years, being eaten by long-beaked bees, flesh flies, etc., or being whipped with ashes, or being hit with fists, or hearing drums, conches, big drums, or thunderous roars, one will not hear it for that period of time. Or, it is thought that one should not meditate on co-emergence, because the metaphorical co-emergence is directly perceived, and because the co-emergence of meaning has not been experienced, it is unreasonable. To this, it is answered, "Called father," and so on. What is obtained from the father is the metaphorical co-emergence. "Experiencing oneself" refers to experiencing directly. "Death" refers to liberation. The inner is bliss, which is the co-emergence of meaning. Here, "his bliss" refers to the metaphorical bliss, practicing its nature, that is, practicing the bliss of meaning, is declared in meditation. The subsequent experience and the other, through the bliss that is in accordance with the Dharma, will be transformed into the nature of the same taste, so it is thought. In the Difficult Commentary on Delightful Vajra - A Garland of Jewels, it is truly so.
