It is related to "ིག་". Severing its sorrow. This refers to the severing of sorrows threatened by suffering from eating poison, which is just an example. What is said to connect the meaning is "Thus" and so on. Liberation is transcendence of sorrow. "Effort" means making great effort. Because it is not an affliction, "not knowing" is ignorance. The word "etc." includes stinginess, anger, laziness, and so on. Ignorance is the ignorance of affliction. The word "etc." includes afflictive desire, etc., which are themselves bonds. To illustrate another reason why sentient beings become Buddhas, it is said "not a Buddha" and so on. "One sentient being" means even one sentient being. "Perfect Bodhi" means complete awakening. "One's own" refers to the mind, the sixth case of the agent. It is expressed in the singular in the name of the category, meaning all sentient beings. "What is the correct cognition of those?" The answer is "The nature of what is taken." "Nature" is the definite object of grasping, meaning nature itself. Nature is also the emptiness of all dharmas by two. Seeing it is seeing emptiness itself. That is Bodhi, that is, all sentient beings are Buddhas, but merely seeing emptiness is not yet Bodhi. So, what will it be like at that time? Thinking, "What is great bliss?", because there is no happiness in hells etc., it is said "hell" etc. "Nature" refers to equality of nature, meaning merely seeing emptiness, up to "non-discrimination." So, if gods and asuras etc. have such happiness, do hells etc. not have such happiness? Although they do not, neither gods nor asuras understand happiness in this way. Because the noble ones do not regard gods and asuras as happy, because they are separated from impermanence, they are themselves painful, and because they are contaminated, they are themselves the cause of other sufferings. Therefore, the happiness of great bliss itself exists in the same way in hells etc. and in the gods, and this is established as such, because they are the same in terms of non-discrimination.
