This speaks of the yoga of particularly strong faith. The benefits of which are spoken, such as "Thus." "Even a person of little merit," means even one who has not accumulated merit in previous lives. "There is no doubt of accomplishment" means that this yoga accumulates merit. "Eat" means at the time of eating. "Even sleep" means that because of constant practice, one sees it even in dreams. "Constantly enters" means that this yoga itself naturally accomplishes its taste. If one constantly does this, what should one do? Therefore, it is said, "Mahamudra," etc., meaning for the sake of accomplishing Mahamudra. Such a yoga, with a scripture of particularly strong faith, is said to have accumulated merit. To explain making aspirations with the mind, it is said, "Thus," etc. "All beings" means sentient beings and the container world. All of them should be contemplated as one. Why must one grasp it? Therefore, it is said, "With the mind," etc. The mind is the consciousness that distinguishes. One should not examine it with that, but one should grasp it with that. That is its meaning. If one should not distinguish, then should one not contemplate at that time? Therefore, it is said, "All phenomena," etc. Contemplation is the complete understanding of all phenomena, not such distinctions. It means that distinctions are inherently confused. At that time, what is complete understanding? Therefore, it is said, "Observation and," etc. The word "etc." includes trees, mountains, seas, etc., and living beings. All of them should be contemplated as the supreme Suchness. In the Suchness of faith, various things are spoken, but not various distinctions. Again, what is that supreme Suchness? Therefore, it is said, "I with," etc. "I" is one's own mind. Its object is that, its nature is that, as it is said. "Those are one" and "That is it," etc., are connected to the previous text. "There is no other,"

The Sakya school holds that reality is not dualistic. If it is said to be singular, then how is it so? As it is said in the scriptures, "self-awareness" and so on. If emptiness is the supreme reality, as it is said in the scriptures, it is the ultimate of truth, and truth is the ultimate. The ultimate of these is the main part, because there is no other meaning of reality, so there is no contradiction in saying that self-awareness is the supreme reality here? The so-called emptiness is nothing else. In the Dharma, there is no self-nature that is different from the Dharma-nature. However, merely correctly recognizing the reality of the things of its Dharma is the indivisible wisdom. Therefore, it is said here that it is the supreme reality. Since it is the supreme reality, then what contradiction is there in saying that self-awareness is the supreme reality? Furthermore, among the realities to be observed, emptiness is supreme, but not the supreme reality of the observer and so on. Moreover, self-awareness itself is the nature of the supreme reality of all dharmas. Just as correctly recognizing self-nature can see the supreme emptiness in the reality to be observed, therefore, the self-awareness that can observe is the supreme reality, not emptiness, because emptiness is inanimate. Also, the seven supreme realities that arise from other things are the reality of the fruit, the reality of the cause, the reality of the action, the reality of the path, the reality of the agent, the reality of the independent, and the reality of the omnipresent, these all show that self-awareness itself is these. Therefore, the scriptures say, "self-awareness" and so on. The characteristics of being unparalleled, extremely pure, and constantly happy are great bliss, which is the supreme reality of the fruit. Its explanation is the so-called "great bliss", which should be combined with the word "self-awareness". The essence of self-awareness is itself, which is the meaning of the so-called "its characteristics". Accomplishment is Bodhi, which comes from self-awareness itself. This itself is the supreme reality of the cause, which is accomplishment itself.

English

It means "the one who causes to arise." The word "ni" means to definitely grasp. It is to meditate on self-awareness itself. Therefore, it is the meaning of the ultimate suchness of the supreme path. "From the nature of self-awareness" means the very essence of self-awareness, which is the ultimate suchness of the supreme. How is it karma? "From harm" and so on. There are two kinds of karma: wisdom and complete abandonment. Abandonment is the exhaustion of afflictions and cognitive obscurations. Wisdom is the nature of realizing all dharmas. From this, "harm" and so on, explicitly state abandonment, while wisdom is implied. In some texts, it says "from realization," where wisdom and accomplishment are explicitly stated, while abandonment is implied. "Born from karma" means becoming karma, which is the nature of self-awareness. There is no separation between the path and the agent of the path; the path is the agent. The Bodhisattva is the agent because he destroys those obscurations and generates wisdom. Therefore, the suchness of the agent is the Bodhisattva who becomes supremely perfect. This is also said to be one's own awareness. "One gathers oneself, one acts oneself," meaning that there is no other agent apart from it. Whatever is perfect with wisdom and abandonment is the supreme of all worlds, therefore the supreme of the lord of the world, to show that it is also that itself, therefore it is said, "oneself is the king." Whatever is perfect in its own meaning and is capable of perfecting the meaning of other sentient beings in all of everything, that is the supreme of the all-pervading lord, to explain that it is also that itself, therefore it is said, "oneself is the master." Are these different from the five Tathagatas? No, it is said, "desire" and so on. Desire is Amitabha. Hatred is Akshobhya. Jealousy is Amoghasiddhi. Ignorance is Vairochana. Pride is Ratnasambhava. "That place" refers to the seventh in the sense of the sixth. This self-awareness abides, the state of great bliss.
