By constantly abiding in meditation, the perfection of meditation will increase. The Bodhisattva should abandon bad habits and remain in that stage until the cause of good habits is found. When it is found, one should enter the sixth, Abhimukhi stage. The Bodhisattva who abides in this stage, in order to constantly meditate on what arises from the assembly of causes and conditions, the perfection of wisdom will increase. Because all the dharmas of all the Tathagatas are manifested, the sixth stage is called Abhimukhi. One should remain in that stage until one knows the cause of all dharmas. When one knows, one should enter the seventh, Duramgama stage. The Bodhisattva who abides in this stage, knowing all causes and not abandoning them, the perfection of skillful means will increase. Having entered the path of skillful means, because of going far, the seventh stage is called Duramgama. How long should one remain there? Until one finds the effortless benefit of sentient beings, one should remain there. When one finds it, one should enter the eighth, Acala stage. The Bodhisattva who abides in this stage, because he obtains all the accumulations of merit without effort, and in order to benefit all sentient beings without afflictions, the perfection of aspiration will increase. Effortless and without effort, and without wavering. Because of the absence of these, the eighth stage is called Acala. The Bodhisattva who abides in this stage, until he is able to separately explain the Dharma taught by the Tathagata in the language of Prakriti (Sanskrit Devanagari: Prakṛti, Sanskrit Romanization: Prakṛti, Chinese literal meaning: nature), he should remain where he has just spoken. When he is able to explain, he should enter the ninth, Sadhumati stage. The Bodhisattva who abides in this stage, because of the great power of wisdom, the perfection of power will increase. Because he is able to teach the Dharma through all paths, and without obstacles, and because he obtains excellence, the ninth stage is called Sadhumati. The Bodhisattva who abides in this stage, for not being able to emanate in many Buddha-fields, and not being able to emanate many retinues, and not being able to emanate immeasurable emanations, etc., not being able to emanate, and sentient beings'

Until all accumulations of merit are ripened, one should remain there. When one is able to ripen them, one should enter the tenth bhumi, the Cloud of Dharma. The bodhisattva who abides therein expands the perfection of wisdom in order to emanate, to ripen sentient beings, and to bestow wisdom universally upon sentient beings. The tenth bhumi is called the Cloud of Dharma because it rains down the dharma upon immeasurable realms of sentient beings from the cloud that bestows the teachings of the dharma. The bodhisattva who abides therein should remain on that bhumi until he or she has become unimpeded in all dharanis and until his or her wisdom cannot be obscured by others. When one is no longer able to remain, one should enter the eleventh bhumi, the bhumi of the buddhas, Samantabhadra. Even the tathagatas cannot express even one aspect of the qualities of that bhumi, so what need is there to mention its complete qualities? That bhumi is called the place of assembly of the buddhas and bodhisattvas. It is said to be eternally abiding. The lord of the ten bhumis is called Vajrasattva. The protector is called the form of Heruka. "Not other" means that it is not taught by external Jalandhara and so forth. The sun of the gathering of yoginis should be shown. Therefore, it is said, "In the direction of the yakshas." That means the face of the full moon. Or it is called the secret place. Why is it called the secret place? Because it is not the domain of the shravakas and so forth. "Fourteen" means the tathagata bhumi. "Eight" means the eighth bhumi, the Immovable. Now, the food to be eaten at that assembly should be shown. "Victory banner" means the field banner hanging on the tree. "Struck with weapons" means killed by striking with swords and so forth. "Seven rebirths" means that one who has been born as a human being for seven lifetimes dies by himself, which is called seven rebirths. With diligence, generating compassion, etc., and harming the Three Jewels, etc., and violating vows, etc. Generate great compassion for that, and make it fully known with the realm of Sukhavati, or any other good place.
