That is ignorance, which is clinging to self and what belongs to self. The difference in mind that becomes the cause of desirable and undesirable actions is affliction. Obscurations mean that these cover, that is, they are to be purified. As it is said: "The nature of pure self-awareness," and so on. By the very wisdom of self-awareness, the stain of ignorance is removed, and it is the nature of complete purity of all dharmas. Meditation is also because all dharmas are naturally pure. Among those called "objects," and so on, because form and so on are naturally pure, that which is called self-awareness is supreme, especially bliss. Among those called "others," and so on, others also, whatever form and so on appear from the tantra of the yogi, those are completely pure, because the entities of beings are the nature of enlightenment. Among those called "O Blessed One," and so on, just having spoken of the complete purity of which ones,

Generate the pride of being a deity. This pride is also for the sake of abandonment. Meditate without an object of focus. For the sake of abandoning the former, generate pride from top to bottom. When the mind abides in equipoise, at that time it is said to be 'thatness.' Thus. In this way, this is distinguished by the form of mantra and deity. And this is for the purpose of introducing it into the very nature of ultimate mantra. This is also stated below: 'With elaboration, without elaboration.' The meaning of this is that 'elaboration' refers to the complete purification of the aggregates, etc., in the form of the deity's appearance. 'Without elaboration' refers to emptiness, and one should fully understand the nature of the supreme bliss of skillful means and wisdom. Therefore, the pure forms of the Bhagavan's hands, etc., which will be discussed below, are spoken of: 'Hands, etc., are pure in emptiness.' And so on. Just as the water element, gold, and space are pure, these are also merely the reversal of the appearance established by complete conceptualization, are naturally pure, are self-aware great bliss, and are the nature of being free from all stains of conceptualization. Therefore, by this purity, one will be liberated from all clinging to appearances, and it is not purified merely by conceptualization. 'Hands, etc.,' for the emptiness spoken of for hands, etc., is inner emptiness, outer emptiness, inner-outer emptiness, emptiness of emptiness, great emptiness, ultimate emptiness, conditioned emptiness, unconditioned emptiness, emptiness beyond extremes, emptiness without beginning or end, emptiness without abandonment, self-nature emptiness, emptiness of all dharmas, self-characteristic emptiness, emptiness without object of focus, emptiness without entity. The purity of these sixteen emptinesses refers to the sixteen hands. 'Feet' refers to the feet of two plus one. 'Demons are pure' refers to the demons of the sons of gods, the afflictions, the aggregates, and the Lord of Death. Among these, the demons of the sons of gods are dullness and sleep, as well as the signs of regret and doubt.

That is so. The demon of afflictions is desire and so on. The demon of aggregates is sickness and old age and so on. The demon of death is the cessation of life and faculties and so on. These completely purified are the four feet. The faces are the eight liberations. As for "one with form contemplates form," this is the first liberation. Perceiving no form internally, one contemplates external forms, this is the second liberation. Having realized and perfected the liberation of ugliness with the body, abiding in it, this is the third liberation. The sphere of infinite space is the fourth. The sphere of infinite consciousness is the fifth. The sphere of nothingness is the sixth. The sphere of neither perception nor non-perception is the seventh. The cessation of feeling and perception is the eighth. Thus, the eight liberations purified are the eight faces. The so-called three vajras are the sky-goers, the earth-goers, and the no-self mothers. The so-called "by these" are those just mentioned, and one should understand the purification of the aggregates and so on in order. The unsurpassed purification is spoken of, "by what and by what" and so on, the so-called "by what" is the action of the nature of aggregates, elements, and sense bases, which repeatedly binds beings with afflictions. The so-called "that and that" are the pure nature of the deities of the aggregates and so on, by which one will be liberated from the bonds of existence. The meaning of this is that just as one does not understand the illusory nature of all things such as the horses, elephants, and cities conjured by a magician, so too the forms and so on that are bound will be liberated by that very thing. Ignorance is not understanding suchness, so the one with clinging to all suffering will not attain the accomplishment called the great seal of suchness. Therefore it is said, "for that reason" and so on, the meaning of this is that when one realizes that the various things that appear separately, such as bells, are different from one's own mind, then the mind will
