Q: Why are the assembled venerable Ananda and others truly manifested in the world? A: Here, Ananda is the great Bodhisattva Samantabhadra, he is Vajrapani, not someone else, but only the great Vajra Holder. Otherwise, how could one possibly remember all eighty-four thousand collections of teachings, including the sutras, and the Vajrayana, having heard them once from the Tathagata without any omission? This is what the Bhagavan said in the great yoga tantra called "Supreme Secret." After that, the perfect retinue of the all-knowing one will also be explained. For example: the great king Suddhodana will become Manjushri. The great goddess Maya will become Lokeshvara. The goddess Shri will become Yashodhara. Rahula will become Vajrasattva. Shariputra will become the one who eliminates all obstacles. The venerable Arya Ananda will become Samantabhadra. The venerable Devadatta will become Indra. The perfectly enlightened Buddha Shakyamuni will become the great Vairochana. Similarly, it is also said in the glorious Araali Tantra: The great king Suddhodana, truly appears in Araali. The great Maya is on that mountain, the lord of beings with wisdom and skillful means. Vajrasattva accomplishes all meanings, is the supreme joy, great bliss. The goddess is the life mudra, Rahula is the excellent great bliss. The earth mother is the great illusion, arising from the nature of illusion, the co-emergent joy and extreme joy are explained. Through the magical transformation of the Vajra illusion, again the Bhagavan Vajradhara, is renowned as the generator. The great Maya becomes the mother, she is known as the mudra. And so on. The one who gathers this reason is the retinue. It is also said when the glorious first Buddha attained enlightenment: The non-god teacher in the high world, I am the sovereign, on the earth I am the Chakravartin. The Naga king of the underworld, endowed with lineage, is revered, the supreme of all goers, I am wisdom, the Buddha Shakyamuni, unchanging supreme, and the pervasive lord yogis' Vajra Yoga, mantra

The syllable Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओम्, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Om) is the king of purity, may all things take refuge in me. So it is said. In order to guide beginners, this fully demonstrates the drama of the Buddha. It is said in this regard: The Buddha will not pass into nirvana, Nor will the Dharma decline. To tame sentient beings, The approach of nirvana is shown. So it is said. It is said: The two syllables E-vaṃ (Tibetan: ཨེ་ཝཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: एवं, Sanskrit Romanization: evaṃ, Chinese literal meaning: E-vaṃ) are the essence of wisdom and means. How should this be understood? The Blessed One spoke of what was asked by the lord of the gods. Indra asked: What is the meaning of these two syllables, E-vaṃ (Tibetan: ཨེ་ཝཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: एवं, Sanskrit Romanization: evaṃ, Chinese literal meaning: E-vaṃ)? Why are they first joined together? Is this what the Tathagata said, or what the Shravakas said? Please dispel all these doubts of mine, you who are the end of existence. Having heard the words praising the merits of the sacred Dharma, the lord of the gods gave his approval, saying "Well done." The Blessed One said this: With the wisdom that sees all meanings, the first utterance of the two syllables "E-vaṃ (Tibetan: ཨེ་ཝཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: एवं, Sanskrit Romanization: evaṃ, Chinese literal meaning: E-vaṃ)", Lord of the Gods, please listen in order. The eighty-four thousand aggregates of Dharma, the root and parents of all these numbers, I have explained as these two syllables. The syllable E (Tibetan: ཨེ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: ए, Sanskrit Romanization: e, Chinese literal meaning: E) becomes the mother, and the syllable Vaṃ (Tibetan: ཝཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: वं, Sanskrit Romanization: vaṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Vaṃ) is said to be the father. The bindu is joined there, and after joining, it becomes extremely wonderful. The syllable E (Tibetan: ཨེ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: ए, Sanskrit Romanization: e, Chinese literal meaning: E) is explained as the lotus, and the syllable Vaṃ (Tibetan: ཝཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: वं, Sanskrit Romanization: vaṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Vaṃ) is only the vajra. The bindu becomes the seed there, from which the three realms of beings are born. The syllable E (Tibetan: ཨེ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: ए, Sanskrit Romanization: e, Chinese literal meaning: E) becomes wisdom, and the syllable Vaṃ (Tibetan: ཝཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: वं, Sanskrit Romanization: vaṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Vaṃ) is the lord of great joy. The bindu is indestructible, it is that very self, the syllables born from it. The two syllables of the Dharma seal, who knows that very self? That will turn the wheel of Dharma for all sentient beings. If someone does not understand these two syllables, but always recites them, it is like abandoning the Buddhas and Dharmas, and seeking enjoyment in external sounds. The two syllables E-vaṃ (Tibetan: ཨེ་ཝཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: एवं, Sanskrit Romanization: evaṃ, Chinese literal meaning: E-vaṃ) are illusion, the all-knowing one dwells here. Therefore, at the beginning of the sacred Dharma treatises, this is fully explained. Therefore, Indra, lord of the gods, if you wish to obtain an eternal abode, you should remember these two illusory syllables, and regard the sacred Dharma as the supreme teacher. So it is said.
