It is said in the Sutra of the Wise: One vehicle and also one method, this teaching of the guides is only one. I, by the nature of skillful means, have shown these three vehicles. Thus it is said. It is also said in the Glorious True Praise of Names: With various vehicles and skillful methods, one who contemplates for the benefit of beings, with the three vehicles one attains liberation, and with one vehicle one abides in the fruit. Thus it is said. Such and so forth establish reliance on the meaning itself. Now, by understanding the fourth empowerment through the sequence of instructions on the four mudras taught in various tantras, we shall explain the tantra. Action and wisdom, the great mudra, the vow called luminosity, as the cause and what is to be meditated upon, likewise, the fourth to be attained is imperishable. This summarized statement will be explained in detail: The cause refers to what arises initially from the action mudra, the bliss that is co-emergent and immutable, as spoken by the Bhagavan. That is the only truth, but conventionally, it is like a mirror in worldly examples, but it is not ultimately so. Therefore, those with sharp faculties should not grasp the action mudra. What is to be meditated upon is the wisdom mudra, purifying the aggregates, elements, and sense bases, etc., in the form of deities, and clearly visualizing the mandala wheel as prescribed in the ritual. By the union of churning and stirring, ignite the fire of wisdom. Until the syllable HUNG (藏文:ཧཾ,梵文天城体:हं,梵文罗马拟音:haṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) is burned and drips, the nature of bodhicitta coming from the forehead of the rabbit-marked one to the throat, heart, navel, vajra, and the center of the lotus, and the center of the vajra and lotus, all objects and faculties are merged into the great bliss of equal taste, becoming completely one. Abide in the samadhi of that nature until the glorious great mudra manifests. What is to be attained is the great mudra, similar to dreams, illusions, and the nature of mind. Cling to that until the vow mudra manifests. Imperishable refers to the supreme, unchanging essence. Thus, body, speech, mind, and wisdom are completely purified.

Therefore, what is the essence of the four mudras? One should enter into the glory of the primordial Buddha, the vajra entering the lotus, and the three with the tip having wind and bindu not falling. These are the clearest manifestations of the three yogas, definitely the mudras of body, speech, and mind. Attachment and non-attachment, reaching the end of the first, the first is the treasure of supreme bliss, the fourth to be traversed by yogis. The root mother tantra of these mudras is the face of the glorious lama with ten kinds of changes. Thus it is said. Similarly, it is also said: Change and no change, from then on shaking, not shaking, without impurity, other. That is the certainty of the Tathagatagarbha. In the Guhyasamaja Tantra, it is also said: One should enter into that, having completely accomplished the karma mudra, one should contemplate the dharma mudra, above that is the maha mudra, from that the samaya arises correctly. Thus it is said. Thus, in the primordial Buddha of supreme glory, it is also said: The absorption of the karma mudra, and the object of the wisdom mudra, and by uniting the great mudra, that which is unchanging will increase. Thus it is said. Similarly, In the "Approach to the Ultimate Meaning," it is also said: Abandoning the glory of liberation, that undiminished bliss, and playing with a virtuous young woman, mostly because of the intense karma accumulated in the past, abandoning nectar and drinking poison. Thus it is said. In the glory of the primordial Buddha, it is also said: The heart is turbid, abandoning this karma mudra with defilements and the examined wisdom mudra, for the sake of perfect complete enlightenment, the Victorious One supremely arises, without the obscuration of the supreme mudra. Without change, equal to space, destroying darkness, pervading, yogis should practice, abiding constantly. Wisdom radiance steals the defilement of existence, and one should meditate on the lineage of the Kalachakra. Similarly, it is also said: Whoever touches the breasts of wisdom, and whoever tastes nectar and embraces, and whoever is accompanied by wisdom, bodhicitta melts, realizing the nectar of the fourth instant. All these are definitely worldly, shown as the cause of the path by supreme compassion. Whatever transcendent empowerment, is supremely connected to the supreme mudra of the lord of the supreme Victorious One.
