It means that it does not enter (meditation) starting from the first day of the dark moon. "Holding the edge of the fourth dhyana," means holding the edge of co-emergent joy, which is the determination of the Tathagata. Therefore, it is the dhyana of warm joy and bliss. The second is the dhyana of supreme joy and bliss. The third is the dhyana of particularly rejoicing bliss. The fourth is the dhyana of co-emergent joy and bliss. The fifth and tenth, and the full moon, at the end of the moon, the bindu has immutable bliss, which is the abode of dhyana. Its edge is the peak part, bliss is completely filled, this is the edge of dhyana, because it holds it, so it is said "Holding the peak of the fourth dhyana." Now, regarding "practicing the six limbs" and so on, the meaning here is: the tantra is realized by other tantras. This is the determination of the Tathagata. Therefore, just as it is said in other tantras, this six-limbed yoga should be practiced: withdrawal and dhyana, as well as breath control and retention, recollection and samadhi, are known as the six limbs of yoga. Here, what is called withdrawal, refers to the eye consciousness and so on of the senses such as the eyes not entering the external objects such as form, while the divine eye consciousness and so on of the senses such as the divine eye enter the internal objects, that is, seeing all things without discrimination by focusing on emptiness, emptiness appearing separately, if analyzed subtly, it is like a young girl seeing in a mirror, this is called the limb of withdrawal. Because one sees the images of the Buddhas of the three realms separately. Then, dhyana refers to the mind entering all the dharmas that are empty and can be seen, first with what is called wisdom, then the mental factor called investigation holding things, then the mental factor called analysis distinguishing things separately, then the mind called joy arising towards all things, and the unwavering bliss called truly experiencing bliss towards all things, these are called the five limbs of dhyana. Then, breath control refers to the solitary hero channel and the rama channel, as well as the left and right channels.
