If there is doubt that the earth is not Buddha, (it is said in the scriptures) "Self-awareness is purity itself." Because one's own awareness is pure by relying solely on oneself. It itself will attain liberation. All others cannot attain liberation. If there is doubt about how things themselves can be completely pure, and for what reason should one generate pure thoughts, (it is said in the scriptures) "Thus sentient beings will become Buddhas." Because the Buddha is the one who awakens to everything. Its transformation arises from the mind of enlightenment. Sentient beings are those pure things, meaning all things. If that is the case, then what is impure at that time? And for what purpose is purity? If there are doubts about these, (it is said in the scriptures) "Form, etc." Because it is impure due to being stained by the defilement of what is grasped. If one thinks, should these forms, etc., be abandoned? Or should they not be abandoned? (It is said in the scriptures) "One should rely on these, one should rely." To rely on means to draw near and enjoy. Or, one should rely on it because it is the nature of the six goddesses, such as the goddess of delusion, Vajra Mother, etc., so one should pray. After making it non-toxic with purity, (it is said in the scriptures) purity, that is, "The aggregate of form is the Vajra Mother," etc. This is awakening from the sleep of ignorance, and after distinguishing the aggregates, etc., one gathers together as if one has attained the purity that has not been attained. Therefore, one dances and sings with great joy, that is, "With what and what," etc. The ninth chapter, the chapter on purity, is completed in the commentary on the difficult points of the Kaumudi, written by the great scholar, the glorious Dpyang Ka'wai Zla Ba. Tenth chapter, the chapter on mandalas and initiations. In order to initiate disciples, and in order to explain the fundamental mandala, the tenth chapter is spoken. That is, it says, "How is the order of the mandala," etc. How the order is in sequence. It is the ritual of the mandala. It says, "Protecting the earth," etc., because it is explained from the method of well summarizing the mandala such as protecting the land, etc., so it is not said here. Regarding the dimensions of the mandala that are not mentioned there, it is said here, three cubits, etc.

Moreover, in the tantra that explains the three-cubit mandala, it is said, "The three cubits of the Vajra Holder." It is said. These three cubits themselves are neither excessive nor deficient for this mandala. It also says, "Also, the three thumbs are superior." The word "is" in this phrase must be grasped. The word "also" means to press down. Therefore, one must understand that these three superior thumbs are indeed certain. The so-called "three is" refers to the limbs and near limbs, that is, the edges of this mandala. Here, in what is said, "Think of bhaga (བྷ་ག་, bhaga, bhaga, auspicious) in the realm of space," bhaga (བྷ་ག་, bhaga, bhaga, auspicious) is said to mean three. There, the thumb is the vajra. Its transcendence is the edge of the outer mandala. Whose three thumbs are transcendent, that is what it refers to. It is also said, "From squeezing the thumb of the lotus, at that time, the taste should be extracted." And so on. When explaining the need for the mandala, it says, "There, place the noble vidya woman." And so on. Or, "How does one obtain anything?" This is because there are no objects of the five families. When explaining the need for the mudra, it says, "One should rely on it until that time." And so on. It also explains the need for reliance, "One should drink it in the mouth of the disciple." And so on. By this, for the master and the end of the secret empowerment, "Do it on that itself." This is the third. "Self-awareness" and so on, this is the fourth. By this, here, only a few aspects of the empowerments are shown. Therefore, those who seek its meaning should seek here the means of properly collecting the mandala. Moreover, without exceeding the order, neither briefly nor extensively, these four empowerments are fully shown. Here, in the twelfth chapter of the second examination, only the combination of order is made. With "Vajra Supreme Abode Vajra, Holding the Great and Great Bell" and so on, the four verses of empowerment are spoken. There are also some who, because they do not understand the difference in the power of the scriptures, in order to ensure that they do not reverse the order of those who rejoice in the meaning that sometimes agrees with the scriptures, first, there is only joy, and so on. The so-called "first" means to show this without distinction. Joy means extreme joy and obtaining satisfaction.
