The sands of ten Ganges rivers, In one class, the Tathagata assembly. In the gathering of races, there are infinite races, Among those races, there are a hundred types of races. Among these, there are also millions of great races, A myriad of races transform into many. A myriad of races have countless races, Those born from the supremely joyful race. The phrase "in one class" means that for one Tathagata, the many words are in the manner of gathering, saying that in one, it abides in the ultimate nature of infinity. How many are the assemblies of the Tathagatas? The five Tathagatas are spoken of in terms of inferior sentient beings. What is the difference? It is equal to the number of sands in ten Ganges rivers. This is used to illustrate reaching the limit by counting, but it is also said to be limitless, because it is spoken of in terms of intermediate sentient beings. Those five Tathagatas, equal to the number of sands in ten Ganges rivers, have infinite races, that is, countless races. It is spoken of in terms of supreme sentient beings. How are they infinite races?
